It’s Rally time!! This year is The Sugar Valley Rally’s 30th Anniversary! The Sugar Valley Rally will be held on June 1 – 3, 2018. Mark these dates on your calendars and fill out the enclosed application today! Please fill out new biographies. Send a new photo if possible.

IMPORTANT!!! The Committee revised some of the Rules and Regulations effective Sugar Valley Rally 2013 regarding qualifications for Pro Class teams. Also, due to the need for early planning and up front expenses, refunds of entry fees cannot be made if requested within three weeks of the rally.

We will again be using Vintage Car Rally Association to sanction our event. We will be using VCRA factoring which is age factoring.

VEHICLE ELIGIBILITY: Cars 50 years or older are allowed to compete for prize money. In other words, this year we are allowing vehicles through 1968; next year through 1969, and so on. Authorized modifications are on the website under “regulations” and will also be mailed out in May.

ROCK ‘n’ ROLL/TOURING CLASS: We will continue to have the “Touring Class” in our event for those wanting to “get a feel” for the rally or just run the routes to decide if they want to enter next year. This class is for ALL makes and models. This class will be scored, but will not compete with the Rally’s Limited and Unlimited classes. Prize money will not be awarded, but trophies will be given. The fee for the “Touring Class” will be $150.00 (early bird) or $200 (regular fee) which allows all pit stops, lunch breaks, banquet tickets and other amenities offered to our Rally competitors. All regulations (with the exception of standard equipment) and inspection of vehicles apply.

CAR NUMBERS: The rally committee is giving you the opportunity to request a car number of your choice. It will be first come, first serve with a $25.00 fee. The cars who do not request a specific number will be numbered according to the order the registrations are received. (Car numbers have no bearing on order of start)

PRO CLASS REQUIREMENTS: The mandatory requirements for being in Pro Class both in the Limited or Unlimited Division are: (1) You or your partner have been a previous 1st place overall winner of the Sugar Valley Rally and/or (2) You or your partner are considered to be in the Expert Division or better and/or a Gold Cup contender by VCRA. In either case, you have to run in Pro Class. You can “opt out” if you have not placed in the top 5 for 2 consecutive years in the Pro Class.

REMINDERS: Inspection of vehicles participating in the rally will be:Thursday, May 31, 2018,5:00 p.m. atWestern Nebraska Community College Auto Tech Building. If you are unable to have your vehicle inspected at the regular Thursday inspection time, please call SVR at 308-632-3381 to make an appointment for an inspection time on Friday, June 1st.

All entered vehicles are sponsored by major sponsors and area businesses and will carry magnetic door signs provided by the Sugar Valley Rally Committee. Your car number will be printed on the sign.

There will be inside storage available for 25 cars at the WNCC Auto Tech Building. The cost is $30.00 per car and the fee includes all three nights. RV parking is also available in the parking lot at WNCC. There are no services available, but it is FREE!

Please take the time to fill out ALL forms completely and attach your entry fee. Your application will be accepted only after ALL requested information is supplied and the entry fee received. Your check should include the total costs (see entry form) and be made out to Sugar Valley Rally. All competing vehicles must show proof of liability insurance. Please note that a currentinsurance ID card, state vehicle registration, and a valid driver’s license will be required at the time of inspection.

PHOTOS AND BIOGRAPHIES: We have included a Biography questionnaire. We are asking that everyone please take a few moments to answer the questions so we can have accurate and interesting information for our publicity and advertising. Our MC is delightfully entertaining and spectators love the information on teams and cars. Please help us out by providing current info. We are also asking for a current photo of your vehicle so we can include them in the flyer that is published just prior to the Rally. Your photos will not be returned, but will remain the property of the SVR Committee. You can email your photo to *By entering Sugar Valley Rally, you are consenting to the Rally’s use of images of you and your car for Rally purposes.*
