REGULAR BOARD MEETING

Feb. 10, 2009

MINUTES

The Board of Directors of La Quinta Fairways Homeowners Association Regular Meeting was heldFeb 10, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. at the La QuintaPacific Western bank. A quorum of Directors was present and business was conducted as is outlined herein.

DIRECTORS PRESENT:

Bill Elliott, President

Gary Williams, Vice President

Bill Hughes, Secretary

Drew Couto, Treasurer

ALSO PRESENT:

Several Homeowners. Dayton Dickey, PPM, was not able to be at the meeting.

CALL TO ORDER:

President Bill Elliott called the meeting to order at 1:35PM.

APPROVAL OF MINUTES:

The Board approved the Minutes of the December 15, 2008 meetingupon a motion duly made and seconded

FINANCIAL REPORT:

The December 2008 financials were accepted upon a motion duly made and seconded.

BUSINESS CONDUCTED:

Appointment of Board Member:It was moved, seconded and unanimously approved to appoint Stuart Greene to the Board for a two year term.

Board Organization for 2009: The following organization was approved by the Board: Bill Elliott, President; Gary Williams, VP and ALC Committee Liaison; Drew Couto, Treasurer; Bill Hughes, Secretary; and Stuart Greene, Director and Contract Review Committee Liaison.

Lighting Update -

Gary Williams reported the trial of 9 locations on Grand Traverse was successful and the costs of upgrading the bulb wattage and location would be absorbed by the supplier and contractor. The next phase, along Ave 50, will proceed without delay.

Straw Vote on Guard House Hours –

Bill Elliott reviewed the results of the “straw vote”. It was virtually unanimous in rejecting any reduction in coverage hours

OPEN FORUM:

Topics addressed during this portion of the meeting included the next owner coffee (Feb 21, 2009), email addresses to PPM, waste management study, policy on additional flower planting by Vintage, making exterior lighting mandatory in the rules revision, possibility of an evening cart patrol with costs shared with Hacienda and La Duna, and walkthroughs by PPM and ALC.

ADJOURNMENT

There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:15 PM

The next meeting will be on Monday March 23 at 1:30 PM at the La Quinta Museum
