A team of officers of Special Cell led by Insp. Lalit Mohan Negi and Insp. Hridaya Bhushan under the supervision of Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Yadav, ACP has apprehended three members of a banned Naxal CPI ( Maoist ) outfit. They are involved in several Naxal activities in Jharkhand.
In the month of February 2009, an input was received from Jharkhand Police that a self styled Commander of a banned Naxal outfit namely Yogendra Ganjhu has made hideout in Delhi. Intelligence collected indicated that Yogendra and his associate are residing somewhere in Badarpur area. Sources were deployed in the area of Badarpur to locate Yogendra Ganjhu.
On 03/05/09, acting upon specific information a raid was conducted at house in Gagan Vihar, Badar Pur, Delhi and three members of a banned outfit, were arrested from the house. They were identified as Yogendra Singh Bhokta @ Soren @ Vinay @ Shiv Kumar r/o Distt-Chatra, Jharkhand, Satish @ Vinod @ Pappu r/o PS Chatra, Jharkhand and Sheetal Kumar Singh r/o District Gaya Bihar. A case under the appropriate sections of law was registered at PS Special Cell , Lodhi Colony, New Delhi.
Yogendra Singh was subjected to sustained interrogation wherein he disclosed that he is Zonal Commander of a banned Naxal outfit and is wanted by Police. He is involved in several attacks on police teams and on their rival groups in Jharkhand. He disclosed that during the year 2007 he sustained bullet injury on his left thigh in an shootout with rival Naxalite group. He assumed the fake identity of Shiv Kumar and was undertreatment at a Hospital in Delhi. He further revealed that Satish and Sheetal are his associates and member of the banned outfit too and are also involved in many criminal activities. He also revealed that he was lying low in Delhi for treatment of his gunshot wound and simultaneously organizing and operating his terrorist group from this hideout. On being interrogated, Satish and Sheetal corroborated the version of Yogendra and admitted to being the member of the outfit. Further Satish revealed his involvement in certain involvement of terrorist attack.
BRIEF CRIMINAL HISTORY:
YOGENDRA SINGH BHOKTA @ SOREN JI @ VINAY @ SHIV KUMAR:
1. Yogendra is a self styled Zonal Commander of a banned Naxal outift. He is a school drop out. In the year 1999, he joined MCC and got one weapon .303 by the organization. In 2001 he was assigned the charge of campaigning in 5-6 villages independently. In 2001 itself he was promoted as self styled Area Commander of Tandwa Balumath. He did campaigning and recruited new members in the organization. In March 2004 Yogendra was promoted to Sub-Zonal committee and got the authority of collecting/extorting money and he was stationed at Palamu Chhatarpur. Subsequently he became the Zonal Commander of the outfit.
2. In April 2003, Yogendra alongwith other members assembled in a village Dundua, PS Simaria. There was a Police raid and in the ensuing shootout one Sudhu Ganju was killed and one Virender was injured but Yogendra escaped.
3. In July 2003, Ardan @ Suresh, Surender, Pradeep, Mangaldev, Virender, Subhash (brother of Ardan) and Yogendra killed one villager Ashishwar Uraon r/o Villge-Manhania, PS Balumath. Ardan and Subhash were arrested in the said case and the remaining are still wanted in the said case.
4. In the beginning of 2004 a posse of MCC under the leadership of Pintoo, was to arrive in Chhatawar village. The Police raided the place and in there was encounter between MCC platoon and police. Yogendra, however managed to escape from the spot.
5. In Feb.2004 one Pawan Singh r/o Tikulia, PS Simaria, a suspected police informer was killed. Yogendraa is wanted in the said case.
6. In the month of July 2004, under the leadership of one Amit, Special Area Committee (SAC) members killed the members of RCC namely Mahender Ganju, Ram Dayal, Suresh, Hardiyal, Bhashkar, Santu. Yogendra is still wanted in the said case.
7. In August 2006, when the members of the banned outfit assembled near Behrade, Simaria, Police raided the spot, a shootout took place in the melee but Yogendra managed to escape from the spot.
8. In Nov.2006 a shootout took place between the rival groups of Naxalites in Kunda, Manjhiwada. One Mahesh was killed and Satish was injured. Yogendra alongwith other members of the outfit escaped.
9. In Nov.2006 another encounter between the rival groups took place at Banasamb, PS Kunda. In the said encounter four members of their outfit namely Sattan, Pinto Yadav, Dara and Barhhan were killed but Yogendra managed to escape.
10. In May 2007 he along with 10-15 members including Satish assembled at Nawadi village, PS Kunda, Distt-Chatra. The rival group came to know of their meeting and attacked them. Yogendra sustained bullet injuries in the said attack.
Paras the self styled Regional Commander directed Shashikant, Satish and Ram Kumar to take care of the treatment of Yogendra @ Vinay. Shashikant took Vinay to Patna to a Private Hospital in Danapur. There he remained in treatment for six months. From there he moved to Delhi in November 2007 and since then he is recuperating in Delhi

Satish in the beginning of 2007 came in contact with one Dheeraj, a resident of his village who motivated him to join the party. He met Vinay @ Yogendra, Zonal Commander of the banned outfit. Vinay @ Yogendra used to address the gathering of the villagers, against the policies of the Govt. In the end of 2007 some of the members of banned outfit differed with their policies and formed a rival group. In the mid of 2007 the rival group members attacked Shashi, Ramkumar and Yogendra @ Vinay near Village Bajrahi Nawadi. In this incident Vinay @ Yogendra got a bullet injury in his thigh. Villagers helped them and later on after 10 days Yogendra @ Vinay was admitted in a private hospital of Patna . He remained there for one month and later Yogendra @ Vinay, Sheetal and Satish took shelter in Delhi for better treatment of Yogendra @ Vinay. Satish started living in Yusuf Sarai Delhi in a rented room with his above associates and later on shifted to Meetapur and Agwanpur Faridabad.
Latest criminal involvements:
1. In Nov.2006 encounter took place between the rival groups of the outfit in Kunda, Manjhiwada. In the said case Mahesh was killed and Satish sustained bullet injuries in his left shoulder. However he managed to escape

Paras r/o Village- Lakadmanda, PS Kunda, Chatra, the regional commander asked Shashikant and Satish along with one Ram Kumar to take care of treatment of Yogendra.
4. In 2007, winters days Satish faced three times police encounters at Pratapu , Bauwara Check post.
Sheetal Kumar’s father was sent to jail twice for providing help to the banned outfit. A year back his father introduced him with one Ram Kumar, who directed him to go to Delhi to look after Vinay @ Yogendra, Zonal Commander of the party. Sheetal came to Delhi and started living in Yusuf Sarai Delhi with Yogendra and Satish in a rented room and later on shifted to Meetapur and Agwanpur Faridabad. Ram Kumar and Shashi are helping them financially and they also occasionally visit Delhi. During the winters of the 2007 ( in winter season) he was involved in a attack on Police Station Dumariya Bihar alongwith 20-25 party members including Yogendra @ Vinay and Satish. In this cross firing 4 party members died and one police person was injured.
Further interrogation is in progress.

BLIND Murder case OF P.S. HAUZ KHAS solved: ACCUSED ARRESTED AND WEAPON OF OFFENCE recovered.
With the arrest of one Shakeel s/o Nathuwa r/o Village Amar Garh, P.S. Jahangirabad Distt Bullandshar U.P., aged 21 years, presently residing at jhuggi Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi, South District police has solved a blind murder case of a scrap dealer.
INCIDENT
On the intervening night of 26/27.04.09, an information was received at P.S. Hauz Khas that one dead body is lying in the jungle of District Park Hauz Khas. Local police reached at the spot and found dead body of Akeel, aged 30 years s/o Mohd. Ishmail r/o Village Piana Kalan, P.S. Khan Pur Distt. Bulandshar U.P., presently residing in the jhuggi, Hauz Khas Village in the bushes of the Hauz Khas jungle. Crime team was also summoned at the spot. On inspection, bullet injury was found on back side of the neck of deceased. One blood stained towel was also found near the dead body. The cousin of deceased Shahid Khan s/o Zaheer r/o Jhuggi Hauz Khas village New Delhi stated that Akeel, who was dealing in scrap went to jungle to fetch green leaves for his goats at about 6/7 P.M and did not return to his house. His wife Gulista along with other relatives searched him but in vain. Finally, at about 12.15 A.M. they found dead body of Akeel in the bushes of jungle and informed the Police. He further told that Akeel had been shot dead by some person. On his statement a case vide FIR No 143/09 u/s 302 IPC was registered at P.S. Hauz Khas and investigation taken up.
TEAM & ARREST
Keeping in view the sensitivity of the case a special team consisting of Inspectors Yogesh Malhotra, Virender Jain, Sub-Insp. Puran Singh, HCs Yatender Malik, Ishlamuddin and Sanjeev, Jagjeet Singh, Dalbir, Kaushar Mehandi, Satish, Pawan and Mukesh under the leadership of Insp. S.P. Kukreti S.H.O. Hauz Khas and overall supervision of Sh. Mehar Singh ACP/Hauz Khas was constituted. The team questioned nearly 150 people residing in the jhuggies and came to know that on the fateful day Shakeel was seen with deceased Akeel roaming in the jungle. This raised the needle of suspicion on Shakeel and he was picked up for questioning. At the initial stage, he totally denied his involvement in the crime and tried to mislead the police by taking several pleas. Finally, on sustained interrogation by the joint teams of P.S. Hauz Khas and Special Staff of South District, Shakeel broke down and confessed having committed the crime.
INTERROGATION
During interrogation he disclosed that he used to repair gas-stoves and cookers. He was having good relations with Akeel, and was visiting his house regularly. Akeel wanted to convert his friendship with Shakeel into relation and offered marriage proposal of his sister-in-law to him, which was accepted and Shakeel was engaged with sister-in-law of Akeel. After the engagement Shakeel started visiting his house more frequently and also developed intimacy with Akeel’s wife Gulista and desired to have physical relations with her. On seeing his changed behavior, Gulista advised not to visit her house frequently particularly in the absence of Akeel. Frustrated by this, Shakeel decided to remove Akeel from the way, whom he was thinking a hurdle between him and Gulista, so that he could achieve his target. As per plan he procured a 12 bore country made pistol (katta) from his village and on the fateful day, i.e 26.04.09, he called Akeel to jungle, where he shot him with the katta from close range. After committing the gruesome murder, he fled away to Gurgaon Haryana to the house of his relatives and also instructed his room-mates to establish his presence in Gurgaon. He has been arrested in the case and on his pointing out weapon of offence, country made pistol, which he had buried in the jungle has also been recovered. Further investigation of the case is in progress.
