Argyll and Bute Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them by sections 45 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended (‘the Act’), and of all other enabling powers, and after consultation with the Chief Constable of Strathclyde Police in accordance with part III of Schedule 9 to the Act, and having complied with Part II of the Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999, hereby make the following Order:
1 This Order may be cited as “The Argyll and Bute Council (Disabled Street Parking–Bute & Cowal) Order 201_” and shall come into operation on the _____ day of ___ Two Thousand and ___.
2 The interpretation Act 1978 shall apply for the interpretation of this Order as it applies for the interpretation of an Act of Parliament.
3 The street parking places specified in the Schedule to this Order shall only be used by a disabled persons’ vehicle within the meaning of Section 14 of the Disabled Persons’ Parking Places (Scotland) Act 2009.
