Purpose:
TheprimarypurposeoftheSenior'sPastoristointroducepeopletoChrist;todisciplethemin spiritualgrowth;totraintheminservingChristwiththeirlife.Provide,throughpersonalministryandthecaringministryofvolunteers,aspiritofgenuineChristianconcernforsenior adultsinourcongregation,bothactiveandhomeboundmembers
Responsibilities:
- Creatingandexecutingalong-termvisionforsenior'sministry.
- Giftedandiscalledtosenior'sministry,lovespeople,andhasapassionforevangelismandoutreach,bothpersonallyandattheministrylevel.
- Engagingteacher,.withastrongbiblicalbackground,whoisinagreementwithFundamentalTruthsandStatementofFaithofour denomination.
- Leadandorganizeeffectiveprogramsimplementingworship,biblicalteaching,discipleship, andevangelism,aswellasplaneventsofinteresttosenioradults.
- Recruit,trainanddisciplevolunteerstaffwithdiversegiftsandpersonalities.
- Providecounselingandspiritualdirectiontosenior'sonanindividualbasis.
- Maintaincontactwiththesenior's,keepingtheminformedofongoingactivities.
- Contactappropriatepersonsorsmallgroupsandencouragetheirresponsetothoseinneed Assistinthedevelopmentandoversightofthesenior'sministrybudget;alsomanagesenior's
feesforeventsandtripsinatimelyfashion.
- Participateasneededorrequestedintheevaluationanddevelopmentof theoverallchurch ministry.
- Recruitandtrainvolunteerstoministerthroughvisitation,greetingcards,telephonecalls,
meals,transportation,etc.
Expectations:
- Attendworshipservices,prayerservice,andspecialmeetings.
- Staycurrentwithsenior'sministrypracticesbyreading,attendingleadershipconferences.
- Grouptrippaperworkinorder(leavealistofsenior'stravelingatthechurch)
- Preachandteachonoccasionin theabsenceoftheLeadPastor.
Qualifications:
- AuthenticrelationshipwithJesusChristasSaviorandLord.
- OnewhoexhibitsapersonalandgrowingrelationshipwithGod,ateachablespirit,andahealthyfamilylife.
- Loveandrespectfor people.
- Abilitytoorganize,coordinate.
- Senseofhumorandpositiveattitude.
- Strongteamplayerwiththerestof thestaffandcongregation.
- Committedtothechurch'svision,leadership,andpeople.
- Dependable,responsible,self-motivatedandcreative.

D.Staffmustbeactiveinaltartimesforthemselvesandalsoforthepeopletheyhavechargeof.
E.AllStaffwillgenerallybeinvolvedinallchurchfunctions.
F.Eachstaff membermustalwayshavethechurchatheartalwaysbeanopenadvocateforthechurch, neversmearingthenameofthechurchoritsleadership.
G.Faithful,intheirchurchattendancegiving.

I.Mustbefaithful, asGodsrolemodel.
