New at the Pantry
Distribution / Screening / Stuff a Truck Date Changes
No Monday distribution in November
November Stuff a Truck will be November 4 & 5
November Saturday distribution will be November 11, screening on November 9
We will be giving turkeys to all families
December Monday distribution will be on December 4
December Stuff a Truck will be December 9 & 10
December Saturday distribution will be on December 16, screening on December 14
January, 2018 Monday distribution will be on Tuesday January 2 vs New Year’s Day
Monthly Results –September Distribution
Screening & Distribution –
Monday 9/4/17 – 82 families, 360 individual’s approximately 2000 pounds of food distributed
Saturday 9/23/17 - Screening – 154 Families; walk- ins -19 Distribution – 168 Families, 361 adults, 330
children ( 691 individuals). Approximately 10,200 pounds of food distributed.
In addition to canned food and dry goods we distributed the following;
Panera Bread, potatoes, carrots, eggs, meat, margarine and peppers from the garden
Stuff A Truck – Weekend (September 16/17) donations to this month’s collection totaled 828 lbs. Additional items were donated prior to distribution.
Sources of and cost of food for September distribution:
Second Harvest Food Bank 6671 lbs. $1,613.25
Donated to Pantry 2784 lbs. $ 0
Local purchase 1751 lbs. $912.05
Totals 11,206 lbs. $2,525.30
Food Items needed:
Pasta sauce Tuna fish (packed in water),
Canned tomatoes (low or no salt) Spaghetti
Rice Canned fruit (in own juices),
Green beans and corn Oranges
Canned Vegetables (other than green beans and corn) Soap and toilet paper.
Apples Spices and herbs
Please do not donate expired food. It cannot be distributed.
Next Monday Distribution is October 2, 2017 from 4:30 to 5:45 at the pantry.
Next Screening is October 19, 2017 (9 am till 11 am) at Blessed Sacrament Church, 1620 Hanford Rd., Graham.
Next Saturday Distribution is October 21, 2017 (9 am till 12 noon) at the Blessed Sacrament School, 515 Hillcrest Ave. Burlington.
