Booking Procedure: Please contact us by email or phone to confirm availability. Your accommodation will then be held for you whilst you book your flights. We will then need a completed booking form posted or emailed to us. Deposits will be required to confirm the booking. Bookings within two months of departure require full payment. Cheques should be made payable to P White. We can accept payments by bank transfer – sort code is 20-17-35, account number is 40136166, account name is P White. If you are paying in Euro’s please contact me alternative account details. On receipt of your payment and a completed booking form our confirmation letter with property details will be sent to you. We will send you more information on the villa, the key, maps and things to do when we receive the final balance.

BOOKING CONDITIONS FOR CASA GABRIELA

1.Bookings between Casa Gabriela (hereafter called “the Company”) and the person making the booking (hereafter called ”the Client”) are valid after

  1. The booking has been received by the Company,
  2. The appropriate deposit has been paid to the Company.

Payment can be made by cheque.

2 By signing the booking form the Client accepts these conditions and warrants that he/she is authorised to agree them on behalf of all other persons named on the booking form including those substituted or added to by agreed amendment of the booking.

3The balance of the holiday cost shown on the invoice must be paid 2 months before departure. If the booking takes place less than 2 months before departure, then the balance is due immediately upon receipt of the confirmation. If the balance is not received at least six weeks before departure the Company reserves the right to cancel the relevant booking and retain any deposit held in respect of the same.

4Any cancellation by the Client must be notified in writing directly to the Company. If the Company receives notification of cancellation more than six weeks before departure, only the deposit will be retained by the Company. If less than six weeks, then the following cancellation charges will apply:

  • Between four and six weeks before departure 40% of the total cost.
  • Between two and four weeks before departure 65% of the total cost
  • Less than two weeks before departure 100% of the total cost

5The Company reserves the right to modify or cancel any accommodation or other arrangement and if the holiday chosen by the Client cannot be provided for any reason before the departure date the Company undertakes to offer alternative arrangements.

6The Company shall not be liable for any loss damage or expenses and shall not be obliged to make any refund in the event of change or cancellation brought about by any force majeure circumstance including (without limitation) war or threat of war, riots terrorist activity, civil strife, strikes or other industrial disruption, natural disasters, fire, technical problems with transportation, airport closures, quarantine, epidemics, weather conditions, government action or other events beyond the Company’s control. Important Note: Please ensure you have appropriate holiday insurance.

7The Company cannot accept liability for losses and inconvenience arising out of disruption of local services such as electricity and water supplies, industrial action or any other matter outside the control of the Company.

8If after confirmation of the Clients booking, the Client wishes to change any detail of the booking the Company will use its best endeavours to comply. However any such amendment and/or substitution must be made and confirmed in writing before departure. In the event that within six weeks of departure the Client wishes to change the booking to a later date the cancellation charges specified in paragraph 4 will apply. You will also need to double check that any changes you make are also made to your travel insurance.

9The Company will allow the Client seven days from the date of confirmation of the booking in which to purchase flights. The date of confirmation of the booking is defined as the date on which the deposit (or full balance if booking less than two calendar months before departure) is received by the Company. If after confirming the booking of the accommodation with the Company, the Client then delays the purchase of the flights and is then unable to obtain flights and cancels the accommodation, normal cancellation charges will apply.

10Should the Client have cause for complaint in the course of the holiday, the Company’s local management must be notified immediately. In the event that the problem cannot be resolved locally and is considered by the Client to be of a serious nature, then the Client must telephone the owners of Casa Gabriela, Debbie Roberts and Sean Trendall who will endeavour to solve the problem. If the Client wishes to pursue the matter on return to the UK (or home), the complaint must then be put in writing to the Company’s office at Woodcock Cottage, Offham, Lewes, East Sussex, BN7 3QE within 42 days of the Client returning from holiday. The Company accepts no liability in respect of complaints received after that date.

11The self-catering accommodation provided is only for the use and occupation of the persons shown on the confirmation invoice and no sub-letting, sharing or assignment is permitted.

12This contract is subject to and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of England and the parties hereby submit to exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

Passports: A valid ten-year passport is required for British subjects visiting Lanzarote. Foreign nationals travelling from Britain should check with the appropriate embassy to ascertain whether a special visa will be required. All children, including babies, will need their own passport to travel abroad.

Health requirements: At present, no certificates of vaccinations are required for British Subjects visiting Lanzarote. Foreign nationals travelling from Britain should check their own personal requirements with the appropriate embassy.
