State of South Carolina Scholarships
Palmetto Fellow Scholarship ($6,700 freshman year; $7,500 sophomore-senior year)
Must submit an application and required documentation to the Commission on Higher Education
Students will be eligible if the meet one of the two set of criteria
-Score at least 1200 on the SAT or 27 on the ACT by the November national test administration; earn a minimum of a 3.50 cumulative GPA on the SC Uniform Grading Policy at the end of the junior year; and rank in the top 6% of the class at the end of the sophomore or junior year
OR
-Score at least 1400 on the SAT or 32 on the ACT by the November national test administration; earn a minimum 4.00 cumulative GPA on the SC UGP at the end of the junior year.
Life Scholarship ($4,700 scholarship plus $300 book allowance)
Must meet ALL criteria for four-year University
-Earn a cumulative 3.0 GPA on SC Uniform Grading Scale
-Score an 1100 on the SAT or an equivalent 24 on the ACT
-Rank in the top 30% of the graduating class
**IF attending a two-year university students must earn a 3.0 cumulative GPA. Standardized test scores and class rank are waived**
Hope Scholarship ($2,800 including a $300 book allowance)
-Earn a cumulative 3.0 GPA on SC Uniform Grading Scale
Scholarships
Anderson Association of Educational Office Professionals Scholarship
Students who have completed business education courses (four semesters) from the following: keyboarding, computer classes, accounting, etc.) and have maintained a “B” average in those classes should come by guidance and pick up the AAEOP scholarship application. Students who apply should also plan to continue their education in an office-related business program.

Anderson School District 1 Loves Teachers Scholarship
The ASD1 Loves Teachers scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating senior who is entering a teacher education program at a four-year college or university. The scholarship awarded will be in the amount of $1,000. Come by guidance to pick up an application.
Application is due March 5, 2015.
ASD1 Loves Teachers Scholarship
The ASD1 Loves Teachers scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating senior at each of the Anderson One High Schools who is entering a teacher education program at a four-year college or university. The scholarship is a one-time awatd of $1,000. Come and see Ms. Drummond for details.

Association of Hispanic-American Women
AHAM is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting higher education among high school students of Hispanic descent in Upstate South Carolina through educational scholarships. Candidates must be of Hispanic origin or descent (only from Spanish speaking countries, first or second generation), have legal presence in the USA, be in a public of private high school class of 2015, and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Charles T. Battle Scholarship
The Charles T. Battle Scholarship from Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc. The scholarship is for graduating seniors planning to continue their education at a two year or four year institution. The application is open to all candidates regardless of race, ethnicity, or place of origin. We typically award three or more 1000.00 dollar scholarships to deserving students.

Don McPhail Scholarship
Anderson Soil & Water Conservation District will award a $500 scholarship in memory of Mr. Don McPhail to one Anderson County junior or senior student. Applicants will be considered with emphasis on the following areas: Agricultural background and related activities, scholastic achievement, financial need, and extra-curricular activities. Come by guidance to pick up an application.

Elks National Foundation
The Elks National Foundation awards 500 scholarships to high school seniors nationwide. Each winner will receive a four-year scholarship to their institution each year. Applications are available at

HotelsCheap is offering two ongoing scholarships per year to college and high school students. Each scholarship is valued at $1,500 each. We are interested in helping students who demonstrate a strong aptitude for higher learning, have a drive to improve themselves, and a desire to improve society in general. Jack Kent Cooke Foundation
The foundation will select up to 40 College Scholarship recipients. Selection criteria focus on exceptional academic ability and achievements, financial need, persistence, leadership, and a desire to help others. The application closes in November. Perrigo Scholarship
If you are planning to major in a math or science field ,Perrigo is offering a $1,000 Scholarship. Come by guidance and complete the application by April 1, 2015 to be considered for the scholarship. This scholarship is specific to Anderson District 1 students.

South Carolina State Fair
The South Carolina State Fair will award fifty (50) $6,000 scholarships to students across the state to be paid at a rate of $1,500 per year over a four year period. The fifty 2015 scholars will be required to meet eliginility requirements deemed necessary by the South Carolina State Fair. Please review scholarship information on the State Fair website

South Carolina State and University Art Departments
Aspiring student artists and parents are invited to explore South Carolina colleges and university art departments during College Art Day. Meet current students and faculty from South Carolina colleges, and hear from alumni applying their art degree in their profession. Admission is free for pre-registered students. Art day is March 6th.

Stephen J. Brady STOP Hunger Scholarships
Applicants must have demonstrated ongoing commitment to their community by performing unpaid volunteer services impacting hunger in the United States within the last 12 months. Additional consideration is given to students working to fight childhood hunger.
