○ Chair Williams: there are some part time students and also mass unit differentiation between majors
● Senator Nagey: we don't have a flag, and we don't have space for a flag. Federal law supersedes your opinion. There are so many more important bills but yall turn up for a bill about a flag we don't even have.
○ Chair Williams: SB#76 will make us compliant with legal code. We could be challenged/be put at risk and be sued.
○ Director Savage: people came today to have a political discussion but that's not what the bill was about. there are templates online where you can talk about other stuff

● Itamar Waksman: commission’s goal is to ensure ASUCD law is solid. Doing a full scrub of the bylaws. The flag can mean different things for different people, ASUCD is an assembly of human beings. Want to give the power back to the senate and its members.
● Chair Flores: IAC bills that deal with ideological arguments brought a lot of people to senate and the very same vocal people took no action to write a spending bill
● Senator Chiang: we have so many bylaws that get scrubbed because they are outdated. We are beating a dead bush.
● Becca Nelson: given the rise of the alt right movement and donald trump, we need to really think about flying a flag at senate. The flag is a representation of genocide, sexual assaults, etc. does not make people proud.
● Chair Tam: Michael can bring his own flag and no one will object to it.
● Senator Nagey moved to call into question. The motion was seconded and objected to.
