There were no disclosures of interest. Members were reminded that if at any time during the meeting they feel they have an interest in an item being discussed, they should declare it at that point.

362. TO ELECT A CHAIRMAN OF THE TOWN PLAN IMPLEMENTATION GROUP

Resolved that Councillor Mrs Clarey is elected as Chairman of the Town Plan Action Implementation Group.

  1. TO CONFIRM TOWN ENHANCEMENT MEETING DATES AND LINES OF COMMUNICATON BETWEEN THE IMPLEMENTATION GROUP AND THE TOWN ENHANCEMENT COMMITTEE

Members debated suitable dates for the Town Enhancement Committee Meetings. Also discussed were the responsibilities of the Implementation Group.

Resolved that the Town Enhancement Committee will meet in February, April, June, October and December. Additional meeting in August if there are any urgent recommendations for other committees in September.

Further resolved that the public members of the Implementation Group would be asked to sign the declarations and register of interest forms.

Further resolved that a meeting of the Town Enhancement Committee is to be held on 27th July to meet with Hilary Weston, Central Beds Youth and Community Arts Worker to discuss artwork at Land South of Stotfold.

  1. REPORT FROM TOWN PLAN ACTION IMPLEMENTATION GROUP

Councillor Mrs Clarey gave a report on the Town Plan Action Implementation Group, copy attached. The Chairman reminded Members that the Town Plan Action Implementation Group is to make recommendations to the Town Enhancement Committee, who will then forward to other Committees as appropriate.

  1. COMMITTEE BUDGET

The Implementation Group have requested funding for the Citizen Advice Bureau to enable them to pay travel expenses to 6 Stotfold residents who will be undertaking training in the near future and also to provide an computer access point for Stotfold to log onto the CAB’s computer system.

Resolved that the Clerk is to check whether the money can be given straight from the Town Enhancement budget, or whether this has to be vired and given as a grant.

  1. ANY OTHER ITEMS FOR INFORMATION

Members requested that no Committee meetings are scheduled for Festival Week in future.

The Clerk was requested to keep chasing Section 106 monies.

Members requested that The Big Library Debate be added as an agenda item on the next Town Council agenda.

There being no further relevant business the meeting was declared closed at 8.25pm
