COFFEE AND FELLOWSHIP SERVERS

Purpose: To promote fellowship with our brothers and sisters in Christ

RESPONSIBILITIES & GUIDELINES

General Information:

  • There are two 30 cup coffee pots and one 100 cup coffee pot located in the west cupboard in the kitchen.
  • A 30 cup pot takes approximately 30 minutes to cook. The 100 pot (for large crowds) takes approximately one hour. Usually two 30 cup pots are adequate for morning fellowship.
  • There is also a small 10-12 cup coffee pot. This can be used for decaf coffee.
  • Directions for the amount of coffee to use are posted on the cupboard door near the serving area.
  • Water, lemonade, and coffee are available in the church kitchen.
  • Coffee pots and other dishes must be washed and put away after use.
  • Do not submerse coffee servers or electric pots in water.
  • Contents are labeled on cupboard doors and drawers.
  • Garbage should be placed in large garbage bag located inside the door on the north side of the work station.
  • Garbage should be securely tied and taken to the garbage collection in back of the church.
  • Tables and counters should be wiped and cleaned.
  • Towels and dishcloths should be cleaned as needed.
  • Check supplies. If they are running short, leave a list on the refrigerator.
  • Keep serving simple and fun. Greet everyone as they come to fellowship.

For Sunday Services:

Winter Worship Services

  • Prepare coffee and goodies and servethem from 9:15 A.M. to 10:00A.M. with a 10:15 Worship Service.
  • Start 30 cup pots 30 minutes before serving begins. Usually 2 pots are needed during the winter months. This can vary depending on outside temperature. It is expected that summer months will require less coffee and more cool drinks.
  • Make at least one small pot of decaf coffee.
  • Prepare powdered drinks and have pitchers of water for non-coffee drinkers.
  • Bring approximately 8 dozen treats.

Summer Worship Services

  • Prepare coffee and goodies and servethem from 8:30 A.M. to 9:00 A.M. with worship services beginning at 9:00 A.M.

For Wednesday Night Services:

  • Prepare coffee, soft drinks, and goodies to be served after the 7:00 P.M.worship service. Services should be done at approximately 7:45. The 30 cup coffee pot takes about 30 minutes to cook. As stated above, less coffee and more cool drinks will be needed in warm weather.
  • Bring about 6 dozen treats.
