To help us to better meet your needs, please answer the following two questions:
- Why are you registering for this course?
I have a 5 year old son who has just completed a 2 year early intervention (VB/ABA) programme & is very verbal though still delayed, particularly with receptive language. He is socially motivated & I’m looking for ideas of what to do next. My son is fully home educated.
- What do you hope to a.) learn and b.) achieve by attending this course?
I’m particularly interested in the learning how to teach temporal concepts & using Language for Thinking. My son is now reasonably receptive to & compliant with direct instruction & I’m looking forward to learning how to maximise the effectiveness of his teaching time. I feel that he has language difficulties which have not been addressed by any intervention he has had so far (either ABA or SALT). I would like to know who (which professional) I need to find to have this properly assessed & to put together an intervention plan.
