a.  Coordinator Report: Sarah will send around latest roster of girls and leaders for next year. See below for notes on Calendar discussion; once Pi/Pas meet later this month to firm up a few fall dates, Sarah will send around the troop calendar to members.

b.  Girl Council: Anna and Becca are heading up the Pi/Pa unit and the Girl Council

a.  Pathfinders

b.  Tenderhearts: Area wide activity date possibly Sat., Aug. 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Sara suggested exploring sleepover/lock in possibility at the Baltimore Science Museum for the EX and Pi/Pas.

c.  Explorers: Next year, EX will be working on Kitchen Scientist/Cake Decorating badges, Marlene mentioned wanting to involve other units for taste tests, etc.

d.  Pi/Pas: discussed camping as patrols and other ideas to do with EX and TH girls

e.  Flag ceremony: Our girls will be doing the flag ceremony at the AHG conference banquet

i.  Financial: Sarah will send around final budget after meeting with Maral on June 24

k.  Fundraiser: New TH mom (Amani Nasworthy) expressed interest in helping us with fundraising, so we’re going to ask her to head WAA this year; also, we discussed doing only one fundraiser this year and giving parents an “Opt out” option to not participate and instead donate funds

l.  Social events: Mother/Daughter tea being planned by Soline and Lindsey

m.  Camping: Anna & Becca will send us a list of possible camping supplies to purchase after we review the budget (tarps, tents, matches, tablecloths some suggestions)

o.  Training: Kristine is lining up training for our new EX and TH leaders

4.  Area-wide information

a.  Summer camping: Sarah sent out check to Crossroads on Thursday (6-12) for girls attending as part of the chocolate fundraiser funds

b.  Leader conference June 26 to 28 ($700 in budget): Chris Neuberger, Sarah Hamaker, Paige Legenhausen, Cherie Kronimus, Marlene Mika attending

c.  Volunteer Training Day June 14 from 1-3 p.m. at Centreville Baptist Church!.

  1. Fourth of July: Committee report sounds good for parade. Sarah will send out details shortly, we’ve been asked to hand out fans at fireworks and parade stands, to which we agreed.

AHG Calendar for 2014-15

General comments: Pi/Pas would like to add some more events for girls and dads, like Donuts With Dad, for example; also Pi/Pas discussed TH-Pi/Pa scavenger hunt

Troopwide service projects could include Honor Flight greeters and Pender’s boutique assistance (comments from women running boutique was that our girls helped a lot and they missed us in the spring!)

8 first meeting: Will be second Monday to avoid having to start so late; EX and TH units will discuss Girl Council elections

15 meeting: GC elections for TH, EX units

20 Mother/daughter tea/National Day of Service: Possibly move M/D tea to October to have a service project (honor flight was the suggestion) on this date

22 meeting: First GC meeting, 6 to 6:30 p.m.

29 meeting/October awards deadline

6 meeting, Wreaths Across America kickoff (EX and TH unit leaders suggested using this meeting to talk about WAA and how to represent AHG and sell wreaths)

11 Fall Festival: Discussion about nixing this event and moving M/D tea to here instead; Pi/Pas will let us know if that’s a go
