Job Title: Female Team Coordinator

Fixed term contract funded for 3 years

Grade: SCP 21 - 25

Salary: £20,109 - £22,599

Hours: 37 hrs per week

Responsible to: Service Manager

Responsible for: Support Workers (including Night Security)

Purpose: To provide a comprehensive housing management service to support the housing of women upon release from prison enabling them to sustain a tenancy and to achieve independent living. To provide appropriate support, line management and supervision of the Support Workers and security staff to ensure effective management of the team and full cover in order to provide a safe and secure environment

Main Duties and responsibilities:

1  Work to ensure the safety of the women in line with Anawim Policies and Procedures.

2  Provide appropriate support to residents in order to ensure that they are able to
maximise their independence and extend the right to exercise choice in all areas of their lives.

3  Ensure appropriate cover at all times, managing the rota and covering for sickness as required.

4  Contribute to the safety and wellbeing of all the women supported and of staff
managed by ensuring that all Health and Safety policies and procedures are followed.

5  Promote services, networking as necessary, adhering to Equality and Diversity Policies

and Procedures and develop professional relationships with key stakeholders.

6  To help identify, evaluate and address the needs of the women and provide a planned programme of appropriate tenancy sustainment for them in conjunction with their caseworker.

7  This role requires you to work irregular hours mainly evenings, nights and weekends and to be part of the out of hours on call team.

8  Ensure that any empty rooms within the accommodation are ready for new customers to move in to with support from other clients.

9  Take responsibility for the effective management and delivery of the service day-to-day.

10  Work in partnership with the women to shape, develop and continually improve services and achieve agreed outcomes.

11  To provide day to day supervision of frontline staff – including carrying out formal supervision sessions on a monthly basis and annual appraisals in order to monitor individual and team performance, address underperformance and manage sickness absence where necessary and promote learning and development.

12  Work with operations manager to manage any maintenance or repairs required.

13  Proactively manage and investigate reports of non-compliance of house rules in line with Anawim policies and procedures, making them aware of their rights and responsibilities of tenure.

14  Manage and resolve any complaints in coordination with caseworkers and service manager, following guidelines.

15  Undertake day to day administration and prepare information for reports as per line managers’ instructions – to include but not exclusively – duty log, contact sheets, Health and Safety records, reporting of maintenance, core forms, and financial handovers.

16  Advise and assist in developing a range of social and leisure activities to meet the needs of the women along with prison and outreach team.

17  Ensure confidentiality is maintained and data protection followed as per Anawim Policies and Procedures.

18  Adhere to all Anawim policies and procedures and ensure they are read and understood by your staff.

19  Contribute to your own individual development through an annual review and learning plan.

20  Attend all scheduled training, which may take place in a location other the service you are employed to work at.

21  Contribute to the continuous improvement of the service and organisation.

22  Adhere to Anawim Code of Conduct

23  Engage in external review processes including the research by Birmingham University.

24  Manage the service within the set budgetary parameters assisting women with any arrears in co-ordination with team.

25  Record all financial transactions including payments, receipt of individual welfare benefits and receipt of other monies according to existing procedures.

26  Undertake other duties commensurate with the grading of the post as required from time to time, complying with reasonable management requests.

Relationships:

·  Responsibility to ensure any concerns are reported which may include using the whistle-blowing policy and procedure where appropriate.

·  Attend and contribute to staff meetings held within the service.

·  Attend and contribute to regular supervisions with your line manager.

·  Develop and maintain professional relationships with the women, ensuring excellent boundaries are kept.

·  Develop professional relationships with key stakeholders and referral agencies.

/ Good general level of education / Level 3 (NVQ) Certificate/Diploma in Housing Practice or other equivalent qualification or be willing to work towards gaining an appropriate qualification at this level.

/ Experience of managing and prioritising own workload and ability to work effectively as part of a team. / Experience of planning and delivering learning and life skills to groups. / A, I, R
Knowledge / An understanding of Health and Safety.
Good IT and keyboard skills and the ability to use Microsoft office
