Static Image in Support of Ancients Alive!

Student Instructions Sheet

You are creating a myth based on explaining why something in the world has turned out with the features that it has.

You must create static images as illustrations of action or characters within your story.

You must also illustrate the front page of your myth booklet in a way that represents a main character or theme/idea/action in your story. The front cover must be clearly labelled with your myth’s title and your name.

You will be assessed on:

The colours that you chose to represent different aspects of your story’s action or ideas. Your teacher will tell you about the use of colour, contrast, layout/balance/techniques to draw the viewer’s eye into the illustration.

How well your captions relate to, or explain, the action of the visuals (illustrations) within the booklet. Your teacher will explain about how you can use verbal techniques to help explain the action in your visuals (illustrations).

You will NOT BE ASSESSED ON HOW WELL YOU CAN DRAW.

You MAY use the computer to gather images for your illustrations.

You MAY photocopy or collage images for your illustrations.
