Tech and Assess Final

1.  Fitness- Health Profile http://www.health-calc.com/component/sundhedsprofiler/default

2.  It’s easy to use but the BMI results go against the other results. For example, it said I was obese and should change my diet because of my height and weight but that I am eating fairly healthy and all the other scores are high.

3.  Maybe not having all of the smaller boxes on the right hand side of the page without any content next to them.

4.  I would add content to fill the spaces in the webpage.

5.  It was accurate- but BMI in itself isn’t the best way to measure when everything else is rated high.

6.  I could use it for clients to input their information to see how they fall on scales for smoking, eating, exercise, etc.

7.  As noted in an above answer, after using the calculator it was accurate but the results of BMI conflicted with the nutrition results. It said I needed to change my diet, but then said it was fine.

1.  Fitness Level http://exercise.about.com/od/exerciseforbeginners/l/blfitquiz.htm

2.  This site is equally useful and easy to use.

3.  I wouldn’t have ads all over the webpage. Typically ads are on the right hand side of a page but the ads on this website are to the left, right, and above.

4.  I would remove the excess ads or move them to a different place so there is proper emphasis on the information on the webpage.

5.  From what information I read and went over, it is accurate.

6.  I could use it to get different workout ideas for clients.

7.  The results were accurate and useful to the questionnaire.

1.  Selecting a workout routine http://www.workout-routines.com/routexercises.html

2.  This site is not useful but it is easy to use because there is basically nothing on the page.

3.  The site is just links to other pages and ads. There is no content on the website.

4.  I would add actual content to the website and maybe keep some of the links to other websites.

5.  There is no actual information on the website to consider if it is accurate.

6.  I could use it to access other useful websites.

7.  There was no survey or calculation tool to use on the website.

1.  Selecting routines in a workout http://www.davedraper.com/workout-routines.html

2.  From navigating around this website it seems to be useful and easy to use.

3.  There is too much empty space on this website.

4.  On the main page especially, I would either add contact or get rid of the long table on the left hand side that contains information.

5.  The information is accurate but I noticed a link that said Lean legs for women and included in that workout are chest and shoulder exercises. The title is misleading because it isn’t just legs.

6.  I could use it to find exercises for clients.

7.  I didn’t see any surveys or calculation tools to use.

1.  One rep http://www.exrx.net/Calculators/OneRepMax.html

2.  The site is easy to navigate because there is not much content. The website also seems to be useful.

3.  I don’t see anything that sticks out about being wrong with the website.

4.  I’m not sure that I would change anything besides maybe the font. There is no excess space.

5.  The information is accurate on the website. It’s interesting that it gives you exercises for each individual muscle.

6.  I could use the various different exercises for clients.

7.  The calculation tool was very interesting determining what your one rep max would be based on what you’re already lifting. It worked well.
