Beginning with one Oompah band on a flat-bed trailer fifteen years ago the festival has become an annual tradition in Tomball and one of the best music/street festivals in Texas. Every year, on the very lastweekendin March, festival-goers break out their Lederhosen and Dirndls"Go German" for the area's largest festival celebrating theheritage of the original German families thatsettledthis area beginning in about 1840. In other words in the caseof German heritage there is much to celebrate in this part of Texas!

The 15th Annual Tomball German Heritage Festival will be March 27, 28, & 29located on the Old Downtown Streets of Tomball Texas near 201 S. Elm Street, Main Street(FM 2920), and Market Street. It is a Music/Street festival celebrating Germanand ethnic heritage with 4 stages of live music entertainment "happy musicfor happy people", ethnic and festival food, beer, wine, 175 streetvendors, all kinds of German souvenirs and clothing, arts crafts, antiques,Heritage Center, German church service, carnival, pony ride, pettingzoo, strolling music makers, street performers, and much more. Like Oktoberfestin March! Fun for the whole family! You do not have to be German to enjoythis festival. It is fun for everyone, and there is no admission, parking fees, FREE SHUTTLES on Saturday and Sunday-1200 W. Main St. (FM 2920) at the VA Clinic near Hwy 249.

The Carnival opens Thursday evening March 26th with a special price for the"all you can ride" armband, and is located at the corner of Main andWalnut.

On Friday 27th at 6pm till 10pm the music begins featuring Bluegrass FridayNight, Alpenmusikaten, Chris Rybak, Alex Meixner, Tuba Meisters, Round Top BrassBand, Das Ist Lustig, Kenny James, German FolkDancers Rathkamp, Scandinavian Folk Dancers,Ultimate Cloggers,Valina and many more.

Saturday 28that 10am till 10pm begins with the "tapping of the keg" and

Willkommen ceremony for German exchange students and Tomball host families, andofficial opening by the Mayor of Tomball Gretchen Fagan. The music and dancinggoes all day and into the night. Tour Tomball's newly restored Train Depot on the festival grounds.

Sunday March 29th opens at 10am till 6pm.
