Title:Head of System Development and Integration

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB
As head of the senior development team you will be expected to provide direction and guidance on system integrationand application development for corporate systems. You will be directly responsible for developing integration links between systems and also providing enhancements to systems to meet the needs of the University. You will manage a small team of programmer analystswho will be expected to offer outstanding support to all customers.
KEY TASKS
- To manage a team of programmer analysts.
- To provide direction and guidance on system integration and application development.
- Be visionary in the development of reporting and online tools to enhance the performance and efficiency of the University operation and enable BGU to achieve the requiredlevel of excellence.
- Lead on the development and implementation of dashboardreporting tools to providemanagement information to users at different levels and abilities.
- Develop specifications and project plans for design, maintenance and enhancement of managementinformation systems.
- Liaise with appropriate staff to ensure that all system changes are managed and implementedefficiently, minimising the disruption to work flow and ensuring the integrity of data.
- To help manage a departmental budget and formulate orders and acquire quotes for goods and services where appropriate.
- Be influential in the on-going development and support of all management information systemswithin the University, ensuring overall systems availability and integrity.
- Ensure the production and maintenance of clear and accurate systems documentation for workundertaken by the team, and in the production of user guidance and instructions.
- To deliver full applications and other code as necessary.
- To provide training on systems as and when necessary.
- To assist in marketing/promotional events as required
- To maintain professional standards at all times

- To attend appropriate training and staff development sessions, and participate in an annual appraisal process.

- Degree Level qualification in Computing, or equivalent in experience.
- Level 3 management qualification.

- In depth knowledge of multiple programming languages
- In depth knowledge of RDBMS such as MS SQL Server
- Knowledge of SQL
- Knowledge of SharePoint usage and administration
