COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES – LEGISLATIVE SESSION
JULY 12, 2016- 6:00 PM

CALL TO ORDER
President of Council Pro-Tem Randy Fischessercalled the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.

INVOCATION AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
Mr. Fischesser led those in attendance in a prayer and then the Pledge of Allegiance.

ROLL CALL
Council Members Present:Mr. Gertz, Mr. Lynd, Mr. Albrinck, Mr. Lindeman, Mr. Ashbrock
Mr. Fischesser. Motion made by Mr. Lynd, seconded by Mr. Albrinck to excuse Mr. Cox.
Motion carried by voice vote.

Other City Officials Present:
Mayor Bo Bemmes, Safety Service Director Patrick Ross, Law Director Dave Stevenson,Treasurer Mel Gertz, Clerk of Council Carla Kacher.
PUBLIC HEARING
President Pro Tem Randy Fischesser called the Public Hearing “Open” at 7:32 p.m. With no public in attendance, and after a small discussion to clarify a change in one of the line items (Patrick Ross will revise),
a motion to close the public hearing at 7:36 p.m. was made by Mr. Gertz and seconded by Mr. Ashbrock.
READING OF RESOLUTIONS
READING OF ORDINANCES
(1) AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE AUDITOR TO TRANSFER $26,560.33 FROM THE CITY EARNINGS
TAX FUND TO THE STREETS & CURBS FUND, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY(Second Reading)
Motion made by Mr. Lynd, seconded by Mr. Albrinck to suspend the rules requiring a third reading. Motion passed by a 6-0 roll call vote. Motion made by Mr. Lynd, seconded by Mr. Lindeman to adopt the ordinance. Motion passed by a 6-0 roll call vote.
ORDINANCE ADOPTED ORDINANCE NO. 2016-50
(2) THE FOLLOWING BUDGET FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 2017 HAS BEEN ADOPTED
BY COUNCIL AND IS HEREBY SUBMITTED FOR CONSIDERATION OF THE HAMILTON COUNTY BUDGET
COMMISSION
This ordinance was declared a first reading only.
(3) AN ORDINANACE AUTHORIZING THE SAFETY SERVICE DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH CME
SEWERE REPAIR FOR REPAIR OF STORM SEWER AT 308 WEST CREST DRIVE FOR $30,250.00 AND
DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
Motion made by Mr. Gertz, seconded by Mr. Lynd to suspend the rules requiring a second or third reading. Motion passed by a 6-0 roll call vote. Motion made by Mr. Albrinck, seconded by Mr. Lynd to adopt the ordinance. Motion passed by a 6-0 roll call vote.
ORDINANCE ADOPTED ORDINANCE NO. 2016-51

OTHER BUSINESS
Patrick Ross updated Council as to a change in CDGB rules and the cameras being installed in the parks no longer qualifies for the funds. Patrick Ross then suggested we move forward with their installation by tapping into a different fund.
