MATES Spanish 4 Summer Assignment:
To prepare for your Spanish IV course at MATES, you should complete a series of exercises that coordinate with the textbook you will be using. You will find these exercises on line at the internet site maintained by the publisher, Holt McDougal: Once you get to the site, follow this path:
ClassZone.com > World Languages, High School, NJ, Go > Avancemos 3Online Review.
Click “Online Review”, to learn the “Unidad 5” vocabulary, click on the electronic "Flashcards" first. The audio component of your computer should be turned
on so that you can hear the word pronounced. twice. Once you have mastered the vocabulary, click on “Animation” in order to learn the new grammar of the lesson. When you are finished, you should review this grammar lesson twice. Once you have completed both the vocabulary and grammar lesson you need to return to the “Home” page. You need to select the “self -check quizzes” under the “Online Review”
Repeat the same process for Unidad 6, Unidad 7, and Unidad 8Each Unidad is divided into Lección 1, Lección 2. You will need to submit 8print outs of the self- quiz results. Submit the print outs to your homeroom teacher on the first day of school in September. You will receive up to 10 extra points on a Spanish test grade if you have completed all of the self-quizzes from the Unidad 5 through Unidad 8. To accomplish this task, you should devote approximately 20 minutes a week this summer to the “Online Review” If you were unable to complete all of the exercises, submit as many as you were able to do and the extra points you receive will be adjusted accordingly.
