Introduction

The Travel Channel has decided that it wants to create a new series about the best country to visit on each continent. Research teams have been formed to investigate countries around the world. You have been assigned to the Africa unit. You and your colleagues need to decide which country in Africa should be included in the series. You now have to research and organize a presentation highlighting the culture and history of an African country. Each group must do it’s best to present an accurate picture of their country while explaining why people would want to travel to Africa.

The Task

Your task for is to design a travelogue for a modern country in Africa that your producers will use to decide which country will be included in the series. It is your job to explain an overview of your country to potential travelers. You will be researching and presenting information on the government, economy, history, culture, arts, etc. You will also want to inform people of what they need to know before they travel in a foreign country, such as places of interest, and any travel precautions. You will organize this information into a Power Point presentation and present it before the group of producers.

The Process

You will be assigned a group to research a modern African country. Your task is to research and present the benefits and dangers of traveling abroad.

  1. Once you have your group and your country, you need to divide up the information topics equally. Each person is ONLY responsible for researching and presenting information on the topics assigned to them.
