CALL TO ORDER:
John Wieczorek called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. at the Mahoning Township Building, 2685 Mahoning Drive East, Lehighton, PA 18235

John Wieczorek made a motion to approve the minutes of the May 28, 2013 Board of Supervisors Meeting. Seconded by Bruce Steigerwalt. John Wieczorek, yes; Franklin Ruch, abstain; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Linda Benner, yes; Todd Weaver, abstain 3-0 vote. Motion carried.
APPROVAL OF TREASURER’S REPORT: May 2013
MOTION

Melo Lot Line Adjustment (Planning Commission Recommended conditional approval)
MOTION
Franklin Ruch made a motion to grant conditional approval to Melo Lot Line Adjustment Plan with conditions of: 1) add notes 9 & 10 from Zehner Subdivision plan 2) remove block referencing “legal access” 3) correct waiver request requirements 4) mylar 5) payment of all review fees 6) owner statement and Bauder’s statement signed on plan.

90 Day Extension Mahoning Valley Plaza (Expiration June 19, 2013
MOTION
John Wieczorek made a motion to approve Mahoning Valley Plaza 90 day time extension request. Seconded by Linda Benner. John Wieczorek, yes; Franklin Ruch, yes; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Todd Weaver, yes and Linda Benner, yes 5-0 vote. Motion carried.
Request for Handicap Parking Space (Stephanie Galade 144 Jamestown Street)
MOTION
John Wieczorek made a motion granting handicap parking space request when all fees are received. Seconded by Linda Benner. Motion amended to include all conditions of Ordinance 112-24. John Wieczorek, yes; Franklin Ruch, yes; Bruce Steigerwalt, yes; Todd Weaver, yes and Linda Benner, yes 5-0 vote. Motion carried.

Road Committee
Þ All fire extinguishers are inspected and tagged
Þ Bruce Steigerwalt and Frank Ruch met with T&M at the Hershey Convention and discussed the extras in the new building and we have not heard anything in response to this meeting.
Þ Need to get with Ron Reeser for road inspection.
Police Committee
Þ Audie Mertz was able to complete the Cops Grant Application and submit on time.
Þ Two leaks in the roof that will need to be repaired
OFFICIALS:

Þ Contacted Lower Mount Bethel Township with regards to granting waivers for fees. They stated they have never been challenged and use fees collected where they feel deemed

Þ Attended Home Health Care Advisory Board Meeting and was very pleased to hear the nurse performance within our area.

Þ Questioned granting waivers and does Mt. Bethel have a lot of areas that require curb and sidewalk and where would we use this other than reducing the widths of the roads

Þ Requested a short executive session for legal.
Þ Linda and John met at Beaver Street and the project will start after the 12th
Þ Attended grand opening at the Farmers Market
Þ A committee was formed to develop a personal policy and handbook. The committee consist of Natalie, Frank and Todd.
Þ Berkheimer provided the township with a quote for possible collector of LST Tax for 2014.
