Polyclose shows what’s going on in the market
17, 18 and 19 January at Flanders Expo in Ghent (Belgium)
The market for windows, doors, sun protection, façade construction and access techniques is in full development, as visitors will be able to see at the 18th edition of Polyclose taking place from Wednesday 17 through Friday 19 January 2018 in Ghent. The biennial European trade fair is the perfect opportunity for professionals to discover innovations from colleagues or to strengthen cooperation even further.
In the industry of window, door, sun protection, façade and entrance technology, new developments are arriving ever more quickly. The sector is particularly skilled in designing, devising and manufacturing inspiring innovations both technical and otherwise. Polyclose provides a current and complete picture of what’s going on in the market and for which challenges solutions exist.
Inspiration and innovation
Burglary protection and access control are playing an increasingly important role, as are design and energy-efficient solutions. The organiser, Guy Martens of Limaco NV: “Our trade fair Polyclose is the ultimate place to show and discover the latest developments. We want to inspire the market to innovate even further.”
Permanent fixture
That the biennial trade fair has become a permanent fixture in the sector can once again be seen in the great interest shown by exhibitors. Guy Martens: “As early as in July 2017, more than six months before opening day, more than 90% of the available stand space had already been filled. This year we are once again welcoming many German, Italian and Dutch companies.”
Exhibitors are predominantly active in the following sectors: access control, aluminium profiles, aluminium systems, automation, biometric systems, coatings, door panels, façades, gates, glass and accessories, hardware, locks, machines, mosquito screens, plastic profiles, plastic systems, roller blinds, seals, software, steel systems, sun protection, tools, and ventilation systems. In the case of sun protection, there is a growing focus on patio roofs and shades.
Many Dutch visitors too
During the previous edition of Polyclose in January 2016, more than a quarter of visitors came from the Netherlands, as did a large number of exhibitors. Polyclose is one of the few specialised technical trade fairs that draw large numbers of Dutch people to Belgium and, as a result, many exhibitors also have a Dutch representative at their stands.
Register free of charge
Polyclose is free of charge for professionals from the sector. We do however ask them to register in advance at www.polyclose.be using registration code P800253927. The three-day trade fair can be visited on Wednesday 17 January from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Thursday 18 January from 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. (later evening opening), and Friday 19 January from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Location: Flanders Expo (Hall 1, 4, 6), Maaltekouter 1, Ghent, Belgium.
