(3)  Thoroughbred Mares with National Hunt Pedigree , in foal or with a foal at foot by : (a) Approved Irish Sport Horse Stallions provided that such stallions are of Thoroughbred/ I.D. cross (b) Class 1. Connemara Pony Stallions (c) Class 1 , I.D. Stallions or Class 2 I.D. Stallions approved in the I.S.H. Stud Book.

(4)  Irish Draught Mares who have achieved Class 1, or R.I.D. status in the I.D. Horse Stud Book, aged 3 years old and over, PROVIDED that they are in foal to or have a foal at foot by : (a) Approved thoroughbred Stallions listed in the IHR (B)Approved Irish Sport Horse Stallions PROVIDED that such stallions are of Thoroughbred/I.D. cross (c)Class 1. Connemara Pony Stallions

Conditions:

  1. For mares with foal at foot, covering details for 2014, signed and dated by the stallion owner, MUST be entered in the mares passport and available for inspection on show day.

2.  Mares without a foal at foot MUST have a current pregnancy certificate, signed and dated by a Veterinary Surgeon, together with a certificate of covering , signed and dated by the stallion owner available on show day for inspection.

RULES AND REGULATIONS

1.  Entries are confined to 2 Year Old Fillies registered in the Irish Horse Register with the breed codes ID; Fillies must be sired by a stallion that is classed as CLASS1/CLASS2/RID (GB)/RID (Can) Grade 2 (GB). Fillies must have sire and dam recorded on their passport.

2.  Exhibitors to both the Qualifier & Final must have their animals passport available for inspection prior to entry to Judging Ring. Failure to comply with this rule will lead to immediate disqualification.

3.  Passport & Microchips should be read by a Vet at the Final.

4.  Two Animals in each qualifying class may be selected to compete in the Final provided the judges agree the sandardis high enough.

5.  One of the Judges at the Qualifying Show must be a qualified Irish Draught Horse Judge.

6.  Animals qualified for the Final are not eligible to enter any othr class at the Show where the Final is held.

7.  There rules should be read in conjunction with the General I.S.A.Rules.

Class 4. T.I.H.A. LIMERICK LADY CHAMPIONSHIP

RING 1 1.30 p.m. (Collecting at 1 pm.)

Conditions:

(a) For two year old Traditionally Bred Fillies, suitable for producing High Quality Traditionally Bred Sport Horses

(i.e. No continental breeding in their pedigrees)

(b) Fillies must have been registered as foals in the I.H.R. and MUST be by :

Approved :

(a)  Thoroughbred Stallions, Connemara Stallions, ISH Stallions, Irish Draught Stallions OR

(b)  any cross of the afore mentioned.

© Dams of the fillies must also be by the Stallions as above & registered in the I.H.R.

(d) All exhibitors must have their fillies passports available for inspection at the Qualifying show and at the Championship

(e) Entry fee for the Qualifier is €15 , Entry fee for the Championship is €20

(f) More than one filly maybe selected at any qualifying show , provided that the standard of entries warrants such selection

(g)Should the standard of entries be insufficient, no filly will be selected

(h) Infringement of these conditions or Championship regulations may lead to disqualification

Each filly selected at the qualifying shows will receive a T.I.H.A. Qualifying Rosette and thereafter are eligible to compete in the T.I.H.A. Limerick Lady Championship on

Class 8. T.I.H.A. Hunter Equitation Championship

RING 3 1 P.M.

The aim of this class is to encourage a higher standard of production in the 5 year olds’ and upwards traditionally bred horses, with a view to increasing their market value for the home and export markets.

Horses competing in this class should be quality animals, well mannered, athletic, careful and capable of jumping a course of fences to include working hunter /show jumping style ( max. height 1.15m) .

They will be required to display smooth upward and downwards transitions to include leg yielding, lengthening and shortening at canter over fences , landing on correct leads and at all times showing good balance, self carriage and rhythm.

Prize Fund:

Champion: €1500 – of which €500 to the breeder, Reserve : €1000 – of which €300 to the breeder. 3rd: €600 – of which €200 to the breeder, 4th: €400- of which €100 to the Breeder, 5th. €250- of which €100 to the Breeder

Entry Fee €20 –

A photo copy of the traditionally bred FULL PEDIGREE must accompany the entry form and the fee.

All performances will be videoed. At the discretion of the T.I.H.A. officials and with the owner’s consent videos will be posted on the T.I.H.A. website and other social media outlets. Videos of individual performances can be ordered at a cost of €25 per horse.

Open to Traditionally Bred animals 4 years old and over. Riders must be over 16years of age. Competitors will be required to jump a variety of fences ( Average height 1m approximately).

In the event of equal scores – TIME will decide.
