Switch Interface Pro 5.0-Don Johnston

This plug-and-go switch interface makes PC and Macintosh computers accessible to everyone. Connect one switch to help early learners practice switch skills or add up to five switches for fostering development of cause-and-effect and choice-making skills.

This is a two tier activity. You will need to connect the interface to use the switches. Once you have the interface and the switches connected you can use the scanning software.

How it works

1.  Turn on device

2.  Select the level you want to record on…slide the grid selector to 1, 2, 4 or 8

3.  Record your message

4.  Turn power on (red light flashes)

5.  Press and hold the record button until red light appears; then release

6.  Press and hold message location while speaking. (Begin speaking after the beep)

7.  Release the message location when finished recording

8.  Repeat steps 3-4 for additional message locations

9.  Press record button to exit record mode (light goes out).

10.  Adjust the volume

Lingo Wearable Messaging Aid

The Lingo Wearable Messaging Aid is an eight-message aid that is small and light enough to be worn comfortably on the waist or around the neck and shoulder.

How it works

1.  Turn on device – on and off is on the side of the device

2.  Press the blue hexagonal target to navigate to the desired message.

3.  Open the control panel on the bottom on the device.
