November 2013

Dear Fan of Summit Junior Baseball and Summit Girls Fastpitch Softball:

Since 1971, Summit Junior Baseball (SJBB) has provided organized baseball for Summit youth ranging from kindergarten through 8th grade. The SJBB also oversees Summit Girls Fastpitch Softball (SGFS) providing a fun and competitive experience for girls in grades 1-8. Together, the SJBB and SGFS form Summit’s largest youth sports program. With over 1,300 players expected to register for the 2013 spring, summer, and fall programs, the SJBB will field nearly 100 teams spread across 12 baseball fields throughout the City of Summit.

Preparation for the 2014SJBB season is underway, and once again we are seeking Sponsors for the upcoming season. We invite you and your business, firm, or organization to support the 2014SJBB program. Player registration fees alone do not cover the cost of running a program as large as the SJBB, and the program receives no financial support from the City of Summit. Without the generous support from our sponsors, SJBB would not be able to provide and maintain the high quality of its program.

This year’s Sponsor fee will be $395 per team. A $50 discount is available for each additional team sponsored by the same firm or organization. You can become a Sponsor by either: (1) filling out the enclosed SJBB Sponsorship Confirmation form and mailing the completed form with your payment to the address on the form, OR (2) visiting the SJBB web site () and clicking on the Sponsor Information and Application Form tab on the left side of the home page, filling out the Sponsor information, and submitting payment via our secured website or by check. CLICK HERE FOR A DIRECT LINK to the online application and payment.

Sponsors will be assigned teams on a first-come, first-served basis, and payment must be received to assure a team assignment. Sponsor names will be printed on the uniforms of T-ball and Minor leagues, and all sponsors will receive a sponsorship recognition plaque at the end of the year with your team’s picture. Sponsors’ information will be listed and recognized on the SJBB website with a hyperlink that will connect the SJBB website user directly to the Sponsor’s website.

Additionally, SJBB is a non-profit organization so your sponsorship support may entitle your company to a tax benefit. For additional information regarding sponsoring teams, please visit the "Sponsors" tab at the top of the SJBB website homepage (). If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to call or email Jill Mitchell at (908-361-0738) or Cindy Spitznagel at (908-644-3060).

On behalf of Summit Junior Baseball and Summit Girls Softball, its players, coaches, and parents, we thank you in advance for your support.

Sincerely,

Jill Mitchell and

Cindy Spitznagel
