The new fiver. Materials available from the Bank of England to support communications and staff training.

The Bank of England has unveiled the full design and security features of the new £5 banknote, and a range of materials have been released to support the campaign to raise awareness and to support staff training in businesses that handle cash. The new fiver will be issued on 13 September 2016.

Businessesare encouraged to consider how they could use the materials to ensure that both their staff and customers experience a smooth transition.

Both digital and hard copy materials are available free of charge. Hard copy materials will be delivered to a single site for each business; it is the responsibility of the business to arrange onward distribution. All hard copy materials will also be available electronically for download and businesses are welcome to print their own copy.

Hard copy materialscan be ordered from the Bank of England: a form is attached to this document. Please only request quantities that you are confident that you will use. The Bank reserves the right to challenge requests for unusually large quantities of hard copy materials.
