Gandhinagar, Wednesday: On the 67th independence day Gujarat Chief Minister Mr. Narendra modi inaugurated exhibition on the life of Swami Vivekananda at KutchUniversity. Mr.Modi also paid floral tribute to Krantiguru Pundit Shyamji krushnaverma.

In this exhibition various topic like Swamiji’s birth, study, divine meeting of guru-shishya, swamiji’s tour withinIndia, his vision of undivided India has been covered in form of beautiful pictures. Mr. Modi took round of the whole exhibition with great interest.

Chicago’s religious conference, speeches of Swamiji in America, England, Maha Samadhi of Swamiji on 4th July 1920 and various passages of Vivekananda’s lifehave also been covered by The Youth Service and Cultural Activities department.

It also covered Swamiji’s visits of Gujarat. Between November 1891 to April 1892, Swamiji visited Gujarat’s more than 13 towns like Ahmadabad, Wadhvan, Limbdi, Bhavnagar, Bhuj, Veraval, Somnath, Porbandar, Dwarka, Mandvi, Palitana, Nadiad and Vadodara.

The exhibition was also visited by State Water Supply Minister Mr. Parbat Patel, MP Punamben Jat, Secretary to Department of Youth Service and Cultural Activity Mr. Bhagyesh jha and Commissioner Mr. Rajesh Manju and other officials.

Gandhinagar, Wednesday: Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today expressed indignation towards Central Government for treating Gujarat as the enemy state and their attempt to keep the states in fragile condition.

On the eve of state level celebration of Independence Day in Kutch, Mr. Modi said that the democracy of India is based on the strong pillars of the States. If the states remain strong than the whole country will become strong. Mentality to keep any state in sorry condition will make the whole country to suffer. CM warned those who plan conspiracy to defame Gujarat and spread lies about the state. He said that Central Government should understand that we have passed the test of Gujarati people’s mandate with distinction in December, 2012.

Now it is Central Government’s turn and they have to pass the test in 2014. The people of India are well aware of the Centre’s deeds, he said.

Gujarat is marching ahead with the dream of success whils some parts of the country are unhappy with the present scenario, he added.

Exhorting the youth to cast vote at the age of 19 years, Mr. Modi said that each and every young person should obtain right to vote at the age of 19.

As a part of state level celebration of Independence Day in Kutch, Swami Vivekanand Yuvavikas Parishad was organized in the KutchUniversity today. Saluting huge Youth power of Kutch, Mr. Modi said that the Gujarat Government has made I-Day celebration event as a development event.

He also said that real patriotism finds its expression in keeping our district clean and in the work of human welfare. During freedom movement, Gandhiji had inspired every people through small work. Everybody wants to do something good and this led to him towards patriotism.

PresentState Government has involved everyone in the journey of development. Inauguration and ground breaking of 4800 development works worth Rs. 840 crore has been completed to celebrate I-Day in Kutch district, he added.

Mr. Modi said that Gujarat has started Skill Development Mission to provide job to the youth of the country. Gujarat is the leader in providing job to the youths in the country. Unemployment rate in Gujarat is very low and the state has contributed maximum in the development of the nation.

Minister of State Parbatbhai Patel, MLA Poonamben Jat and official of the state government were present on the occasion.

The proposed Mandal-Becharaji SIR would be reconstructed with 8 villages

CM accepts the recommendations, of the committee comprising four ministers, to exclude 36 villages out the proposed total 44 villages

Spokesperson Ministers announces that decision about Mandal-Becharaji SIR was taken considering the all-round facets of farmers’ representations and the role it will play in the development

Chief Minister Narendra Modi accepts the recommendation of the committee comprising four ministers to exclude 36 villages from SIR out of total 44 villages in the proposed Mandal-Becharaji special investment region (SIR).

CM met the farmers and leaders of 44 villages of SIR and gave them an audience for their representation. Shri Modi assured the farmers a positive decision on issues related to their landafter a comprehensive consultation round on every possible outcome. CM declared in the meeting that the feelings of the farmers would be considered for the decision and with this regard, state ministers Mr. Nitinbhai Patel (finance minister), Mrs. Anandiben Patel (minister of revenue), Mr. Bhupendrasinh Chudasma (minister of law) and Mr.Saurabhbhai Patel (minister of power supply) were the committee members who were tasked with the handling of consultation with farmers and their representations or the leaders of the said villages.The committee had accepted the representations and suggestions of both; in favour and objections to it.

Proposed Mandal-Becharaji Special Investment Region

After the comprehensive discussion of the committee of ministers, and taking into account the feelings of the farmers, 36 villages out of total 44 villages, proposed under SIR, were excluded from the proposed Mandal-Becharatji SIR. Of the 36 villages that are excluded from the proposed SIR include 14 villages from Mandal taluka, 10 villages of Detroj taluka and 12 villages of Dasada-Patadee.

The excluded villages of Detroj taluka are Chhaniyara, Dekavada, Ghateesana, Kanza, Mota Karanpura, Nana Karanpura, Rampura, Ratanpura, Sadatpura and Umedpura while villages from Mandal taluka are Anandpura, Daddhana, Dalod, Jalesana, Kunapur, Manpura, Nayakpur, Vanparadi, Varamor, Vasana Kunpur, Vinchhan, Vinzuvada, Viththalapur and Zanzarava. Meanwhile, Dasada-Patadee taluka has Alampura, Bubavana, Echhavada, Eravada, Gosana, Naviyani, Panava, Sishiya, Valevada, Vanod, Chhatrot and Manavada villages excluded from the SIR.

The ministers’ committee has recommended reconstructing of the Mandal-Becharaji SIR area, including the 8 remaining villages. The name of these 8 villages include Bhagapura and Shihor from Detroj taluka, Hasalpur-Becharaji, Seetapur, Ugharoj, Ugharojapura and Ukaradee from Mandal taluka and Chandanaki from Becharaji taluka.

The spokespersons of state government Mr. Nitinbhai Patel and Mr.Saurabhbhai Patel had informed how CM Narendra Modi, considering the comprehensive consultation and the feelings of the farmers, had fulfilled his promise given to the farmers for the decision about Mandal-Becharaji special investment region (SIR) before 15th August.

The spokespersons have also added that the current state government is open to any suggestions and objections and it had declared SIR scheme by including 44 villages in Mandal-Becharaji SIR, considering part of it in the projects of Central Government, Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor and National Investment and Manufacturing Zone. The plan was to implement SIR scheme in order to form the new horizons of growth in the backward areas.

Excluding 36 villages out of 44 villages, the Mandal-Becharaji SIR scheme would be reconstructed with remaining 8 villages. CM has fulfilled his promise of taking care of farmers’ feelings and their welfare by taking this decision. CM had decided this for the inclusive growth of agriculture and industry for more agricultural production and opportunities to employment for the youth.
