Main purpose of the job / Manage research and developments of new fashion trends and advise the directions for generating business
Job Descriptions / Responsibilities / §  Keep abreast of the fashion/fabric market trend
§  Source and develop offer packages to customers
§  Supervise and guide the local R&D team
§  Create, manage and maintain garment development as well as styles for market and customer needs.
§  Provide training for staff development and maintain a good employee relations
§  Prepare showrooms and fabric racks for customer visits
§  Be responsible for show room preparation and overall presentations
§  Coordinate with Merchandisers, Designers and Buyers to provide suitable ideas, garments and fabrics
§  Any ad hoc assignment as required
Education/Experience
Requirements / §  of woven fabric constructions across a broad spectrum of fabric qualities, including denim.
§  Willing to take initiative and able to perform multi tasks with minimum supervision Degree in Fashion Design or equivalent
§  At least 5 years experience in brand fashion design
§  Excellent knowledge of international garment market
§  In depth technical knowledge in relation to weaving, printing, dyeing, finishing, treatments and washing techniques as well as mill capabilities
§  In depth knowledge
§  Target-oriented and willing to work under time pressure
§  Excellent in written & spoken English
