CFANS Graduate Student Board Professional Development Grant Application

Thank you for your interest in the CFANS GSB Professional Development Grant! The Graduate Student Board and the College are focused on taking an active role in supporting professional development opportunities for graduate students in CFANS. Based on a survey of CFANS graduate students administered in January 2016, the Board will fund events which supporting the myriad career goals of CFANS graduate students, including industry, academia, the public sector, and NGOs. To fill gaps in current programming, the Board will prioritize funding for events which help develop or build one or more of the following:

·  Interview skills

·  Job search resources

·  Management skills

·  Leadership

·  Teaching skills

·  Statistical skills

In accordance with the mission of the Board, and to build cohesiveness across the CFANS community, funding will be prioritized for events open to graduate students from multiple CFANS programs.

If selected for funding, the Board will follow up with a worksheet to support your event planning and determine the level of funding the Board will provide.
