Welcome to UCCS!
If you plan to attend UCCS, please complete online orientation as soon as possible. If you will not be attending UCCS, please contact theUCCS Admissions Officeat719/.

Completing online orientation will fulfill the first step of yourorientation requirement (please do not forget about the mandatoryInternational Student Welcome and Check-inon Wednesday, August 16, 2017).Once youcomplete online orientation,you will be able to enroll in your classes starting Monday, April 17, 2017.
Step One:Complete the online orientation modules in Blackboard and pass the quiz at the end of the course. You must achieve at least 80% on the quiz at the end of the program. You may retake the quiz as many times as needed.
Step Two: Complete and submit (Post Entry) theJournal Entryat the end of the online orientation program.
StepThree​:TheOrientation Office will receive an automaticnotification from the Blackboard Grade Center once you submit your Journal Entry.You will then receive an e-mail from the Orientation Office confirming that your orientation hold has been released and you are eligible to enroll in classes (may take 2-5 business days).
Step Four: Register for classes starting April 17, 2017.
Step Five: Your academic advisor will contact you within a week to provide information on your major and to answer questions that you may have as you transition into UCCS.

Step Six: Attend the mandatory International Student Welcome and Check-in on Wednesday, August 16, 2017.

To begin online orientation(You must follow each step listed below):

(Please keep in mind that it may take1-3businessdaysafter you are admitted toUCCSbefore you are authorized to log into Blackboard.)

• You will need to claim your UCCS account (retrieve your UCCS username and set your password).This information will be needed to access Blackboardandto later access yourmyUCCSPortal(when it is time to enroll in your classes).
• Find your UCCS Student ID number (SID).If you do not know this number, contact theRecords Officeat719/255-3361.
• Once you have your number, clickhereand selectClaim Your Account.
• Follow the instructions to retrieve your UCCS username and set your password. Contact theI.T. Helpdeskat719/255-3536if you encounter a problem claiming your account.
• Go to log into Blackboard using your UCCS username and password. Contactif you encounter a problem with the Blackboard program.
• Find theCourse Searchbox(near the middle of the page) and typeInternational- 2017SF
• ClickGO.
• UnderCourse ID, click the small chevron next to9999_UCCS_Online_Orient_International_SUM17-F17.
• SelectEnroll.
• SelectSubmit.
• SelectOK.
• You will be taken to the Blackboard course.
• Please be sure to review theInstructionsbefore you begin the online orientation program.
• You are responsible for knowing the information in the online orientation modules.

After your online orientation is completed:

• Once yourinformation has been processed, you will receive an e-mail from the Orientation Office confirming that your orientation hold has been released and you are eligible to enroll in classes starting Monday, April 17. Please note that it may take the Orientation Office 2-5 business days to process your completed online orientation information.
• Please check for the e-mail using a desktopcomputer, laptop, or tablet (you may not see it using a Smartphone). If you cannot find the e-mail in your inbox, please check your junk or spam folder. For Gmail users, the e-mail may end up in a unique folder (promotion, all mail, important, junk, spam, etc.).
