ENTRIES: Send completed entry form to Bonnie McIntyre, 16660 Winchester Rd, Colo Spgs, CO 80908. Entries must be received no later than Friday, May 23, 2008 or a late fee will be charged. Please make checks payable to Bijou Goatkeepers. Fees must accompany entry form for the show -- NO EXCEPTIONS! Anyone registering on June 6th will be required to pay cash and late fees. Please provide an email address so that we can contact you if there are any questions.

SHOWMANSHIP: / $3.00 per child
PEN FEE: / $6.00 per pen (including tack pen). No refunds. Pens do not need to be cleaned.
RAFFLE TABLES: Help support our club by participating in the raffle: Tickets are $1 each, or 6 tickets for $5.
CONCESSIONS: A Concession table will be set up with proceeds going to High Country Kids 4-H Club. Help support these kids! In addition to the regular concessions, our annual "Saturday Night Special" will be offered. You may pre-order either a Steak or Chicken plate for $8.50, or a hot-dog plate for $3.50. Meal includes baked potato, green salad, dessert and beverage. MAKE SURE YOU PRE-ORDER YOUR MEAL, AS ONLY A LIMITED NUMBER OF TICKETS WILL BE AVAILABLE SHOW DAY!!!!! This is a good deal!
SHOWMANSHIP: Years of age as of January 1, 2008. Classes will start at 8:00 AM Saturday. $3.00 per entry except PeeWee. Competition points will go towards the CDGA Youth Showmanship Program, along with Prizes being given to class winners for this show.
PeeWee: 7 and under (no charge – not for CDGA)Junior: 8-10 yrs.Intermediate: 11-13 yrs.Senior: 14-18 yrs.
SENIOR DOE SHOW: Classes will begin immediately following Showmanship on Saturday, and at 8:00 AM on Sunday.
JUNIOR DOE SHOW: Classes will begin after completion of Senior Doe Show and after the judge has taken a break.
REGISTRATION AND RECORDATION CERTIFICATE:
1.Only goats registered with ADGA, AGS, or CGS are eligible to compete. Those goats that have applied for registration with the above organizations may also compete.
2.A registration / recordation certificate, or a stamped duplicate showing the date received by ADGA office, is required for any animal under 6 months of age.
3.A registration / recordation certificate is required for any goat 6 months of age or older.
4.No copies of registration / recordation certificates, or stamped duplicates, shall be accepted by show officials.
5.The document specified above as the requirement of the animal of that age to be shown, must have been presented to the show secretary before judging begins.
6.Proof of ownership shall be the name on the registration / recordation certificate or stamped duplicate.
7.Information obtained from ADGA office via telephone, telegram, etc. shall not be accepted in lieu of the document specified above.
NOTE: Colorado weather is unpredictable in early June. You may clip your goats at your own discretion.
HAY AND BEDDING: Hay and straw will be available for purchase at reasonable prices.
FACILITY FEE: In order to offset increased fairground rental and insurance fees, each exhibitor is required to pay a $10.00 facility fee, not to exceed $10.00 per family. Individuals registering for showmanship only are not required to pay this fee.
HEALTH REQUIREMENTS: All animals need a health certificate. It must state that the animals being shown are free of caseous lymphadenitis. Diseased or injured animals will be removed from the grounds upon recommendation of show committee. Animals deemed unworthy of competition by the show committee may be barred from competition and removed from the grounds. In such cases, the entry and pen fees will be forfeited. ALL GOATS MUST BE DEHORNED OR NATURALLY POLLED.
ARRIVAL TIMES: Animals may arrive at any time after NOON on Friday, June 6, 2008. Show officials will be on hand from noon to 8:00 PM Friday to check in paperwork. Does must be in place and checked in no later than 7:00 PM Friday for the Saturday and Sunday shows. There will be no changes made in any breed after that breed has been called into the show ring! There will be no pre-show milk out. Exhibitors may milk out at their own discretion. PENS WILL BE ASSIGNED DUE TO LIMITED SPACE. If you have penning preferences, state them on your entry form.
DEPARTURE TIMES: All animals must be off the fairgrounds by 8:00 PM Sunday, June 8th. NO EXCEPTIONS!
CLASSES: Base date for these shows is June 7, 2008. Any additions to classes must be made prior to 8:00 AM of show day.
CHAMPION CHALLENGE: Permanent Champions may show in either the regular or challenge class, whichever the owner chooses. The Grand Champion of the same show must show in the class, and the winner of it shall be called the Best of Breed, and will compete in the Best in Show class. An animal winning grand champion in shows without champion challenge, or best of breed where champion challenge is contested, will forfeit the champion leg earned in that show if they fail to compete in the best of show class.
SENIOR DIVISION: All does shown in this division must have freshened at least once, or are being milked regularly as in the case of a precocious doe being milked daily.
JUNIOR DIVISION: All does shown in this division must be under 24 months of age, and have never freshened.
GROUP CLASSES: No Group Classes are being offered in this show.
