Cal Coast Cares Foundation is pleased to offer the James L. McPheters California Coast Credit Union High School Scholarship Program. Two $2,500 scholarships and eight scholarships for $2,000 each will be awarded to ten college-bound high school seniors in San Diego and/or Riverside counties. In addition, $20,000 in Foster Student Scholarships to college-bound high school seniors and current college students who are in or have been in the foster care program in San Diego and/or Riverside counties. North Island Credit Union Annual Scholarship Program: Our program is designed to acknowledge exceptional students throughout the greater San Diego area. We will award 10 scholarships of $1,000 each to students who are motivated in their academic endeavors, active in their schools, and contributing to their community, giving back to others through their participation, service, and volunteer work. Executive Women International Scholarship Program (EWISP) 2018: The EWI Scholarship Program offers college scholarships to top high schoolseniorswho currently reside in San Diego County and plan to pursue a four-year degree in any business or professional field of study. The award of this scholarship is based upon the academic standards set forth in the application and financial need. This program has been approved by the National Association of Secondary School Principals and the American Vocational Association.The San Diego Chapter of EWI will award one (1) scholarship of $5,000.00. Association of Chicana Activists Scholarship: Must be an enrolled high school/community college student during the 2017-2018 school year. No minimum GPA is required to apply. Must attend and be present at the high school conference on Saturday April 14, 2018 at San Diego State University. You do not have to identify as a woman to apply for the scholarship. San Diego Alumnae Panhellenic (SDAP): Announces its 2016 High School Merit Scholarship Program. Applicants need to be graduating San Diego County high school women who in the 2017-2018 school year will be attending a four-year college or university that has national Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sororities on its campus. Kiwanis Clun of Hidden Valley: Scholarship 2018 – All applicants must provide answers to Part1 and 2.

Part 1:

  • Where do you plan to continue your education and why?

Part 2:

Write an essay that is 150 to 350 words on one of these three topics (select only one):

  • Why I am active in community service and what is has taught me.
  • Why I have chosen to work while I am a student. What I have learned from working that I did not learn in school.
  • What you have learned from another person (not a member of your family) about integrity and how it has made you a better person.

Submit your application to the Hidden Valley Kiwanis Club. Be sure to include a copy of a transcript as well as your name, phone number and email address. You must be graduating in 2018 with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and plan to attend either community college or trade school starting no later than September 2018. Your application must be postmarked no later than April 6, 2018. Any questions should be directed to your counselor at your school.

Asian Pacific Fund: Administers nine scholarship programs, each with unique eligibility criteria. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $20,000 and many are renewable. For incoming or current college students of any ethnic background. Must plan to beenrolled full time in the fall. Minimum of 3.0 GPA and be a US citizen or permanent resident unless otherwise stated. San Diego – Edinburg Sister City Society Scottish Ancestry Scholarship:The applicant must be of Scottish ancestry, college bound with at least a 3.0 GPA, must pursue a degree at an accredited two or four-year educational institution, college or university for the first time in the fall following high school graduation. The award is $750 and can be applied to tuition or books. Please see someone in the Escondido High School Counseling Office for an application.

OZ Foundation Scholarship: The Oz Foundation is a family organization that has funded the college education of students from low-income backgrounds. The ideal candidate is someone who is presently attending high school or college and has demonstrated that he or she is capable of college/university work but does not have the financial resources to attend college.
