COMP Cams®, FAST®Sponsor Engines Battle in UAE
Memphis, TN− COMP Cams® and Fuel Air Spark Technology™ will once again be gold and silver sponsors, respectively, of the Engines Battle at Custom Show Emirates 2017 in Abu Dhabi on March 30 through April 1.
The three-day contest requires teams to remove an engine from a vehicle, make modifications using their choice of optional performance parts, re-install the modified engine and adjust other underhood systems (intake, headers, etc.)before submitting their entry to undergo 10 rounds of dyno testing.
A three-judge panel will determine the winner based on the highest average horsepower from all dyno testing rounds. Last year’s winner, Alyasy 7 Performance of the United Arab Emirates, posted an average 417.4 HP and was awarded a trophy. The team also took home the engine it built, as well as the engine built by the USA team it defeated.
In addition to the Engines Battle, CSE will feature a biker build-off, custom bike and car competitions, 4x4 and saloon drifting, stunt driving, car audio contests, an RC arena, SEMA Garage, exhibits and more. The event attracted more than 23,000 visitors in 2016.
