BE HEALTHY / There is a healthy eating policy in place which reflects the ECM outcome ‘being healthy’
There is a policy for PE and physical well-being, which emphasises the importance of regular exercise and physical fitness
Policies for drugs and sex and relationships education reflect the ECM outcome ‘being healthy’, emphasising the importance of making appropriate lifestyle choices
STAY SAFE / The ECM outcome ‘stay safe’ is reflected in the Child Protection Policy and Safeguarding Children Policy
The Health and Safety Policy reflects the ECM outcome ‘stay safe’, and children learn, play and socialise in a risk-free, accessible, safe environment
The staffing policy makes explicit that all staff working with children are CRB checked
The racial equality, anti-bullying and behaviour policies reflect the ECM outcome ‘stay safe’ and children are able to report any incidents of discrimination, harassment, bullying or anti-social behaviour
ENJOY AND ACHIEVE / The policies for curriculum, personalised learning, and teaching and learning reflect the ECM outcome ‘enjoy and achieve’, which is demonstrated in practice
The policy on assessment for learning makes explicit the importance of tracking the progress of children and young people to prevent underachievement
The assessment for learning policy ensures children and young people are involved in target setting and reviewing their own progress in learning and well-being

MAKE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION / The PSHE and Citizenship policies reflect the ECM outcome ‘make a positive contribution’ and children and young people have a ‘voice’ and participate in decision-making
The Equal Opportunities and Inclusion Policies ensure that children and young people are able to contribute to out-of-hours learning activities and community projects
The Policy for Transition and Transfer to the next phase of education ensures that children and young people have a say and are consulted about their ECM provision in the next educational setting
ACHIEVE ECONOMIC WELL-BEING / Policies for work-related learning, 14–19, lifelong learning and/or business and enterprise ensure that children and young people develop economic awareness and become financially literate
