QUESTIONS FOR DIRECTOR FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION, HEALTH and ATHLETICS

General

  1. Would you please tell us about yourself, your professional preparation and anything else you wish to add?
  1. Why do you wish to become an administrator in our district?
  1. What do you feel are your major strengths? What have you done to pursue your perceived liabilities?
  1. Who has had the greatest influence on your life?
  1. How do you deal with stress?
  1. Please share final comments or questions and a closing statement that indicates why you are the best candidate for the position.

Administrative

  1. What are some of the things that a new director can do to raise the level of expectations of the other teaching, support staff, coaches and students?
  1. Please describe the relationship of the director as part of the central office team including directors and in relation to building administration including principals, assistant principals and athletic coordinators.
  1. Share your experience and relationship with building principals, teachers, coaches, support staff and central office.
  1. During your career you must have been involved in a program or innovation that was not successful. If you had the opportunity what if anything would you do differently to change the outcome?
  1. In what way would you go about improving and maintaining open communication with specific groups (administration, staff, and community)? Explain how you have applied these techniques.
