Sequential Stills Class: (K-5)Teacher-guided class project when the teacher structures a template and students produce the content. /
Sequential Stills: Individuals or Small Group
Create a series of still images to produce regular still images from slides, photograph, still video or digital images using Quicktime, PowerPoint or a similar program.Animation
Drawn on paper or created on computer and entered on video, or using clay, objects or other 3-D models. /
Interactive Stills
A production that includes images viewed in an order chosen by the viewer, using navigation buttons or menus. Text, music, video clips and narration may be included.Electronic Picture Book
These projects must be original student work that has been scanned into slideshow software or original student artwork that has been created on a computer and imported into some type of slideshow software. (An author page may include a commercially produced school picture of the student.) / Electronic Photographic Essay
These projects are a slideshow presentation that involves the organization of a number of original photographs on a single theme. Titles and captions may be used.
Live Action Videotape
Use a camcorder to make a video such as a drama, documentary, interviews, etc. Usually have actors, hosts, or narrators. A computer may or may not be used in the editing process. May be made with or without sound.
Website
Create a web page and include the URL in your written description of the website. Due to technological uncertainties all website entries must be submitted on a PC formatted floppy disk, CD, mini DV or on a VHS tape. Please include a “site map” (flow chart or table of contents that gives the judges information on bringing up the website). If you include links to your site, they must be identified. Web pages can be created using programs such as Front Page ( see for help, or Netscape Composer by visiting: / Podcast
A podcast is a digital audio program that can be downloaded and played on a computer or digital audio player. A podcast can be a stand-alone item or one of a series, though only one of the series should be submitted. Files should be in mp3 or mp4. RSS files are not required. All podcast entries must be available for download from the Internet, but due to technological uncertainties all podcast entries must include a backup CD or DVD. Enhanced podcasts with images are accepted but will be considered equally with standard podcasts. Video podcasts are not accepted.
