The Student Government Association of Mt. San Jacinto College met via video conferencing, commencing at 12:30p.m. on August 17, 2010 in Room 500-MVC, and Room 1111-SJC.

D.  President Ana distributed appointment packets for appointments to the SGA Board. The following appointees were sworn in: Gaby Alcaraz, Ashley Cook, Katrina Gorgy, Katherine Hays, Ana Moreno, Kenn Prado, Leslie Smith, Edward Sukla, Parisa Toorzani, Gina Guglielmana, Yesenia Jameson, Mark Qubain, Erican Doggett, Noemi Garcia, and Mary Hays.

II.  Information Items

A.  Executive Officers’ Reports

1. President: Ana went to MSJC board meeting-she shared what SGA will be up to this Fall. The MSJC board is

planning for new and refurbished buildings on campus.

2. Secretary: Yesenia attended the Faculty Convocation and sold 28 SGA stickers. .Daniel Tripp also attended. There is currently no state budget.

B.  Senators’ Reports: Kenn gave a presentation at the SGA retreat and proposed a bus structure on SJC.

C.  Members-at-Large: Noemi proposed a Campus Beautification Day.

A.  Proof of SGA sticker- Donna announced that all board members must show proof of sticker purchase to herself or Sandi before next meeting.

C.  Welcome Back BBQ- August 24 at MVC and August 26 at SJC-Donna explained the timeline for the BBQ and a sign in sheet was passed around.

D.  Robert’s Rules of Order, Parliamentary Procedure, and Brown Act: (Postponed until next meeting.)

E.  SGA T-Shirts and Other Apparel: (Postponed until next meeting.)

F.  Popcorn Machine (Trolley) and Supplies (approximate cost: $300) for Menifee: (Postponed until next meeting.)

G.  SGA Sticker Sales and SGA sticker card sales-locations on campus and SGA Board Sales-(Postponed until next meeting.)
