Alcohol Awareness - Is a 5 week informal programme which includes identifying triggers, coping strategies, how alcohol effects the body, self-esteem and communication.

EBI (Extended Brief Intervention) - Sessions aimed to look at treatment journey, Educate around physical and psychological impact of alcohol use, Reduce alcohol use to safe levels/within government guidelines or abstinence, Increase Recovery Capital, Introduction to peer support due to rolling program members support one another i.e. members completing session 5 provide positive hope for new members Offers a route into Mutual Aid, Recovery/Fellowship meetings.

Women’s Group - Aims to provide a safe comfortable environment to enhance learning, to provide a place where women can express themselves and develop social networks using a variety of activities.

Criminal Justice Group - This is the mandatory criminal justice group for DRR clients and consists of a 10 week rolling programme including drug awareness, safer injecting and overdose awareness, health and wellbeing and recovery workshops.

Mutual Aid Group - Consists of 3 parts, Check in (clients check in with name and if they wish to disclose what addiction they have/have had and what sort of week they have had, however there is no pressure for clients to speak) Group discussion (the clients generally have a topic they want to discuss however if there is no topics then the group worker will give a topic), Check out (clients check out and say if they have enjoyed the group what they’ve learnt etc.). If you’re anxious and don’t wish to check in just say pass this is fine, you are welcome to just attend and listen. NOTE: All mutual aid meetings are run by recovery champions or peer mentors, who are in recovery themselves.

Mindfulness

A six week course of mindfulness sessions, which include meditations and discussions around the way we think about Drugs and Alcohol, Anxiety, mental health, everyday stress, and how mindfulness may help you, Thiscourse is six weeks long and you will need to be referred in by your worker.

Relapse Prevention -Relapse Prevention is a behavioural self-control program that teaches individuals with substance addiction how to anticipate and cope with the potential for relapse. Clients will understand relapse as a process, identify and cope with urges and cravings and learn how to create a more balanced lifestyle. This is an open group therefore referral is not required.

Abstinence Group - Abstinence group – A mutual aid group for those who have achieved, or are working towards achieving, abstinence or have completed successful treatment outcomes. There is an expectation that participants of this group will not attend under the influence of alcohol or any other mood or mind altering substance.

Community Groups– Come together with other service users for a cuppa and a chat. Each week’s theme or activity or discussion is planned and led by you. You may bring along a friend/ family member if you wish for extra support- please note it is for over 18’s only. This group is ran by Thirteen Care and Support Staff.

Allotment. We have an allotment at sunniside all are welcome. Pick up can be arranged on the day, ask your recovery coordinator for more details.

Barmoor Hub -Drop in – Barmoor drop in where you can pop in a have a cuppa, have a game of pool, mutual aid and mindfulness sessions taster sessions are also available,

Foundations Of Recovery. A three stage, 10 week course that has 3 stages of recovery working towards recovery, the three stages being, change, life and growth.

Mens Group- coming soon in February.

Housing and Benefit Drop In- Pop along for advice and guidance with your housing and benefit issues. This group is ran by Thirteen Care and Support Staff.

Moving Parents and Children Together (M- PACT) Information Drop In- Parents please pop along for an informal chat to get more information about the `Moving Parents and Children Together Programme’ from the Thirteen Care and Support Family Workers.

Mindfulness Practice a one hour session, open only for those who have completed the mindfulness course, a place where you can continue to practice mindfulness.
