ADMISSION NOTICE
M.Sc. ENGINEERING 2008-ENTRY
1. Applications are invited for admission to the following Master degree Programs in Engineering from suitable candidates:
Ø Civil Engineering with Specialization in:
i) Structural Engineering
ii) Water Resources & Irrigation Engg.
iii) Transportation Engg.
iv) Soil Mechanics & Foundation Engineering
Ø Electrical Engineering with Specialization in:
i) Electrical Power Engg.
ii) Electronics Engg.
iii) Control Engg.
Ø Mechanical Engineering with Specialization in:
i) Thermal System Engg.
ii) Applied Mechanics & Design
iii) Industrial & Manufacturing Engg.
iv) Engineering Management
Ø Computer Engineering:
i) Computer Engineering
Ø Telecommunication Engineering
i) Telecommunication Engineering
Ø Software Engineering:
i) Software Engineering
Ø Engineering Management:
i) * Engineering Management
(* Applicants for the MSc Engineering Management program will hold a B.Sc.
Engg./B.Engg. degree ( any discipline) recognized from PEC)
2. The candidates who have passed B.Sc. Engineering or equivalent in the relevant field of Engineering in all cases are eligible to apply.
3. NTS-GRE will be compulsory for all the applicants for admission to MSc Engineering.
(50% minimum marks).
4. Prospectus including application form will be available from 10.07.2008 from the Chairman concerned
Office & Habib Bank Ltd. UET, Taxila Branch of the University on cash payment of Rs. 300/-
5. The application for admission (on prescribed form) must reach the respective Chairman of the Department at the latest by closing hours (2.00 p.m.) on 31st July 2008, irrespective of mode of delivery.
6. Written Test will be held on 09-08-2008 at 10.00 a.m. in respective departments. Successful candidates will have to appear for interview on 16-08- 2008 at 10.00 a.m.
7. Suitable candidates in the area of Signal Processing may be awarded scholarship under the project “Endowment for Higher Education and R&D in IT & Telecom Sector for Postgraduate Research in Signal Processing”, with a scholarship amount of Rs.12000/- per month + tuition fee.
