Applicants must be residents or dependents of residents, or dependents of business owners who operate within the GTAMA scholarship geographical boundaries, which are: To the North, the city limits of Corbin City, To the South, Cedar Swamp Creek, To the East, the intersection of Cedar Swamp Creek & Tuckahoe River if extended, To the West, the Dennis Township – Woodbine border
In Addition to the application attached, the packet must include:
1. Transcript of high school record.
2. Acceptance letter from a post-secondary program you plan to attend. Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time vocational student or apprenticeship in the Trade of their choice.
3. A typed, double spaced essay, not more than 500 words, describing why you have chosen your stated career, and the factors that ledto this decision. Include an explanation as to why you feel you should be considered for this scholarship and any special circumstances not already named.
4. A minimum of two personal letters of recommendation from someone other than a relative. (Teacher, Guidance Counselor, Employer, Clergy, Volunteer Director) The packet must be sent to the High School Guidance office.
NOTE: ALL COMPLETED APPLICATIONS MUST BE RETURNED TO THE GUIDANCE OFFICE BYMARCH 30, 2018.The high school guidance office will forward completed applications to the GTAMA.

I understand the scholarship for which I am applying will be granted by the Greater Tuckahoe Area Merchants’ Association, as Trustees of the LC Equipment, Inc Trades Scholarship Fund, whose decision will be final. The scholarship will be used to defray part of my education costs at the vocational school or in the trade of my choice. A check will be presented to the recipient by the GTAMA scholarship committee at the annual awards reception.An award of up to $500 will be based in part on volunteering at GTAMA events.
