Target Group:
Introductory awareness training on Child Abuse and Child Protection. For staff who work directly or indirectly with children, and have had limited, or no, Child Protection training. Each course will be interagency with participants from a number of agencies.
Aims of the course:
To increase awareness and understanding of Child Protection and the part staff play in helping their organisations protect and support children and their families.
Learning Objectives:
By the end of the day participants will have had the opportunity to:
1) Develop an understanding of Child Abuse and Child Protection and the way they impact on them.
2) Develop an understanding and awareness of Child Protection Policy and Procedures.
3) Understand the important part they play in protecting children and young people.
4) Understand the crucial role of communication in Child Protection.
