EMERGING LEADERSHIP AWARD
PURPOSE:
To recognize an occupational therapy student or an early practitioner who has demonstrated outstanding leadership in occupational therapy at the local, organizational, state, or national levels.
REQUIREMENTS:
STUDENT / OT PRACTITIONER (OT or OTA)Be a member of his/her schools’ student occupational therapy association. / Be licensed in New Jersey as an occupational therapy practitioner.
Nominator will submit a letter of recommendation, the student’s CV or student portfolio, and the application for the award. / NJOTA membership required.
AOTA membership preferred.
Submit 2 additional letters vouching for the student’s outstanding leadership. / Must have practiced occupational therapy in NJ for at least 1 year but less than 3 years.
Nominator will submit a letter of recommendation, the practitioner’s CV, and the application for the award.
Submit 2 additional letters vouching for the practitioner’s outstanding leadership.
SELECTION:
The deadline for submitting the application with all supporting materials is
September 15, 2014.
Nominations shall be addressed to the NJOTA Awards Committee. The Awards Committee will review applications for completeness and appropriateness and make recommendations to the Executive Board for final approval.
PRESENTATION:
Award will be given at the annual NJOTA Conference.
