Reminder-We are beginning a new attendance incentive. If ALL students come to school on time for 10 straight days, then we will earn a free recess! The weather has been perfect for this! This is day 6, and we have 0 days.

Homework

Suggested Homework / Initials
Please complete a conversation from the Conversation Calendar.
Please review the First Grade List your child is currently on.
You will receive a list of words that are in the story your child is reading in class. Please ask your child to read this list to you.
Please read your child’s library book with him/her. Have him/her write a sentence about it. You may assist your child in stretching words, but allow them to spell phonetically by writing the sounds that he or she hears. Please do not tell them how to spell each word. You may write the correct spelling under your child’s word. Tell your child that you are writing the word the way it looks in books.
With assistance, please have your child read the sentences below.
Please write the following words on a piece of paper. Ask your child to slide his/her finger under each letter and read the sounds: yes, rap, pit, yet, hop, well, drip.

I can give the dog a rib.

He was not in the big red van.

Can she get on the bus with me?
