Meeting Started at 7:25pm by Russell King President
- Hello and thank you for coming tonight . My apologies for not making the last meeting.
- Peter Parker and David Scrimgeour checked and approved the previous months minutes.
- As always thanks very much to those people that give up there time to help on the BBQ and Canteen.
- At the last Macarthur meeting we were asked to remind everyone that they should be doing Player ID checks before every game especially at this end of the season. Please make sure you always have your cards with you as you will forfeit the game if you don’t.. Rules say you have until the end of the match to produce the cards if requested.
- Macarthur as always is pushing for coaches to get qualified. As a club it is our goal to get every qualified for all teams in 2016. I do realise that its hard finding spare time but once you see the benefits for both your team as well as yourself you will then ask yourself why you didn’t do it last season.
- If anyone needs any merchandise please get in contact with someone on the committee
- With Finals fast approaching Please ensure
- You have your players ID cards ready as you can get spot checked at any time by members of the LCC.
- The coach is wearing a blue vest and someone is wearing the team official vest
- All players deserve fair time on the park. As a club we leave this up to each team but please be fair to all members. We cant have this happening as this is how we loose players and families from the club
- Check Sporting Pulse tables and report any issues to Russell or Jenny ASAP
- With Presentation day also almost upon us its time to start sending thru your nominations for our perpetual trophies
- U6/U7 Rising Star starts new 2015
- U8/U9 Rising Star starts new 2015
- U10/U11 Rising Star will be renamed the Sturt Chelli Memorial Award in memory of one of the club managers that passed away during the season.
- Goal Keeper of the Year 12-18years
- Simmos Award U12-U18 Years for the player in your side that always gives everything for his team
- Dougherty Award U12-U18 Girls for the player in your side that always gives everything for her team.
- Players Player
- Coaches Award
These will be voted on at the next meeting, Each team Under 12 needs a coaches player and U12-Over 35s need a coachers player and players player
- Presentation Fliers will be posted next week with all the details
- Tahmoor will be holding the U7 Gala Day on the 22nd August if anybody can spare us some time an hour or 2 to help that would be greatly appreciated as diue to juniors still playing there last round we are very short on committee people for the day. Donation of cakes for the cake stall would be great too.
FOR 2016
- Running U4 training teams to try and keep kids into our club as early as possible. Would like to look at a couple of people running 1 training session a week/fortnight if anyone would be willing to help come and see Russell. This is supported by Football NSW
- As we are going to be grading next season we feel it would be beneficial for all players if we held 2 nights in the weeks after the season end to try and see the players play while football is still in there minds. What do people think? To do this we would need some volunteers to help marshall/ grade etc most likely be on a Thursday night.
- Would also like to look into a preseason competition where we can get players from U112-U17 together for a friendly knock out comp in the afternoons. Council permitting
- Russell apologises as he never got around to organising the team leader training as promised a couple of months ago its been due to scheduling and work commitments
- Kit hand in day will be organised at the next meeting and this year we will be inviting all coaches/managers and the kids to come down to the ground and have a sausage sandwich and maybe and drink or 2 to say Thank you for all your hard work this year.
- AGM date and handing out of presentation vouchers Monday 12th October
- Junior Presentation date 25th October at Picton Pools, Picton
- Senior Presentation 7th November at the George V Inn Picton
- Gala Days U7, U9 and U11 22nd August
- Gala Days U6, U8, U10 29th August
Alex Coaches Report
- If there are no refs home team will forfeit match ensure some one on your coaching team or parents are ref trained so that the game can happen
- Train with one another small games at training great way to develop skills
- As coaches learn the 17 rules on FIFA website learn them if possible to have a better understanding of the game and also so that if you need to ref you know the rules instead of forfeiting
