This option is use by the ancillary services to verify potential
duplicate. This option is used when a user is not notified by an alert.
'Approve verified duplicates for merging'
Option name: XDR APPROVE FOR MERGE
Synonym: APP
This option is used by the coordinator or team responsible for duplicate
resolution to give final approval for selected duplicate pairs to be
included in the next merge process.
'Verify Potential Duplicates' Option name: XDR VERIFY ALL Synonym: VPD

This option is used to mark a potential duplicate as an actual duplicate
(OR mark a potential duplicate pair as VERIFIED - NOT DUPLICATES).
The 'from' and 'to' records are identified and all top level
patient file fields resolved and a bulletin generated informing
the Verified Duplicate mailgroup of the actual duplicate.
If there is no interactive package merge that needs to
take place the merge process will also occur.

'Add Verified Duplicate Pair' Option name: XDR ADD VERIFIED DUPS Synonym: ADD

This option allow the user to add a pair of records that are not already
identified as potential or verified duplicate to the Duplicate
Record File. The pair will go through comparisons (Duplicate Tests). The
comparison results in a computed value based on similarity of one
record to the other. The resulting value is measured against the
Potential Duplicate Threshold Percentage. When the record pair
scores evaluate above this percentage, they are considered to be
potential duplicates and are placed in the Duplicate Record File.
If the user has the XUMGR key, the user has the option to bypass the
Potential Duplicate Threshold Percentage thereby adding the pair directly
to the Duplicate Record File.

OCESS STATUS Synonym: CMP
This option indicates the status of a selected merge process (or all
of them) displaying the information provided by the last checkpoint
during its operation. This information includes the file that is
being processed, which stage it is in, and the last internal entry
processed.

This option allows an operator to input two records and then
run them through the duplicate resolution software and see
what there Match Score would be. It does not add records to the
Duplicate Record file.
'Display Search Status' Option name: XDR DISPLAY SEARCH STATUS Synonym: DSS
This option will display the status of a selected search for duplicates.
The status may be RUNNING, HALTED, ERROE(STOP) or
COMPLETED. If you are checking
the status to make sure the Duplicate Checking software is running
you must make sure that not only is the STATUS stated to be RUNNING
but also that the COUNT (which is the number of records that have been
checked for duplicates) is also steadily increasing. If the COUNT is
not increasing notify your site manager.

This option is used to edit the status field of the
Duplicate Record entry. It would be used when a pair
was identified as Verified Duplicate or Verified Not A Duplicate and
you want to change the status back to Potential Duplicate,Unverified.
'Find Potential Duplicates for an Entry in a File' Option name: XDR FIND POT
ENTIAL DUPLICATES Synonym: FIND
This option will find all potential duplicates for an entry in a file.
Any potential duplicate pairs are then added to the Duplicate Record File.
This user is prompted to enter the File and then to select an entry
within that file.

This option provides a rapid scan of possible duplicates by listing
the zero node of the patient file for each individual.
If the output is not queued to a printer, then the data will be sent
to the FM Browser for examination.

This is a summary report of how many records are verified duplicates or
verified not duplicates or potential duplicates unverified. The total
number of records merged and ready to be merged will be displayed.

This option allows you to edit the values used by the duplicate resolution
software for determining whether to add an entry or not. Once you
find the sequence of scores that best fit your facility, it is
recommended that you don't change these values.

This option is used to generate a list of those entries in the file which
were identified as lacking a zero node, having a bad SSN value, or missing
one or more of the identifiers in the file.

Scan through a file selected for Duplicate Resolution to check for
entries within the file which are missing identifiers (which are presumed
to be significant data elements) or have other problems.

A search on a selected file seeking potential duplicates is performed
using one of two methods: 1) A Basic search, which checks all records from

the beginning of the file, and 2) a New search, which checks only those
records that have been added or edited since the last search was run based
