v  Family Offering Envelopes: Many thanks to all those who were able to collect their new

box of envelopes, perhaps office hours do not suit everyone, new boxes can be collected

this weekend from the Churches. This collection covers our running costs, such as

electricity, heating, insurance etc.

v  Mission Sunday Annual Collection: Next Sunday 18th Oct is mission Sunday. Please

pray for the universal missions of the Church and give as generously as you can to the

mission collection. This replaces the usual share collection.

v  Census of Mass Attendance: Archbishops House have requested all parishes to take part

over three weekends 3rd /4th , 10th /11th , 19th /20th Oct so that an average may be calculated.

v  Parish Pastoral Council: The next meeting will take place next Monday 12th October at 8pm in Teach Diarmada. Any queries in writing to Secretary, Averil Heslin C/O Parish Office, Teach Diarmada.

v  Colaiste Lorcáín: There will be an important meeting for all parents/guardians who wish

to enrol students in Colaiste Lorcáín in first year for Sept 2016 on Wed Oct 21st at 7pm.

The schools “Open Evening” will take place on the same date from 6pm-9pm. All

prospective students and their parents/guardians are invited to attend.

v  Behans Centra: Are holding a 5k walk and 11k run on sat 17th Oct at 11am in aid of breast cancer. Registration €5 for walk/ €10 for run or sponsorship cards now available instore also. Registration will take place at Behans Centra and walk will commence from the shop to Mullaghreelan Castle, Ballyvass Road, Skenagun and finish back at the shop. Please support this great cause.

v  Health Service Executive: “safeTALK” is a 3 & half hour training programme that prepares participants to identify persons with thoughts of suicide and connect them to suicide first aid resources. It is one of a number of suicide prevention training programmes available through the HSE and partner agencies. It will take place one evening (date to be confirmed) in the coming weeks and is open to everyone over 18 within the community. For more info email: or contact Maureen on 0879732622.

v  Local Link Bus Service: This bus service is now running between Carlow and Naas, this service will be reviewed after six months and in order for it to continue people must use it on a regular basis. The Time table is now available from Teach Diarmada reception. Its route 880 and runs from the bus station in Carlow.

v  Babyloss Awareness Remembrance Service: Will be held in Sil an Chroi, St. Patricks, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow on Sunday 11th Oct 2015 at 3:00pm. The service will be followed by a balloon release and walk by the lake. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome. See www.babylossawareness.ie for further information.

v  Living With Loss: An information evening for the public about bereavement with guest speaker Jane McKenna, founder of the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice Foundation. Event will take place in the Alexander Hotel, 41-47 Fenian St. Dublin 2 (off Merion Square)

v  Teach Diarmada: Christmas fair will take place on Sunday 6th December. If you wish to book a stall please contact Siobhan on 087 9677469 or reception on 059 9144888.

v  Halloween Movie Night: Sat 17th October, first movie: Hotel Transylvania (G) doors open 5:30pm. Second movie Frankenweenie (PG) doors open at 7:30pm.

v  Halloween Disco: Saturday 24th Oct from 7-9pm in Teach Diarmada, fancy dress optional.
