The Appraisal Institute is currently seeking a Director for our Meeting Services Department. We are looking for a customer service oriented professional to lead our Meeting Services team at our headquarters in Chicago. This role is integral to the operations of both internal and external member and staff events. Internal meetings will consist of overseeing all functions of the In-House Conference Center, such as room coordination, food and beverage orders, and room/AV set-up. External meetings will include the successful planning and logistic implementation for the Appraisal Institute’s annual meeting and sponsorship, Board of Directors meetings, educational conferences, committee meetings, and other off-site meetings and events.

Qualified applicants will have experience in identifying areas of strength and weakness in order to improve future events, contract negotiations, identifying latest trends, as well as understanding management principles.

Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 5 years of meeting planning experience; prior association experience is a plus.
