A serviceEvent represents the main act being documented. Documentation of a serviceEvent includes the performers of the act, which can be clinicians or individuals.
- MAY contain zero or more [0..*] documentationOf (CONF:14835).
- The documentationOf, if present, SHALL contain exactly one [1..1] serviceEvent (CONF:14836).
- This serviceEvent MAY contain zero or one [0..1] code (NEWCONF:xxxxx).
- The code, if present SHall contain exactly one [1..1] @code, which SHOULD be selected from a value set established by the document-level template for a specific type of Patient Generated Document. (NEWCONF:xxxxx)
- This serviceEventSHALL contain exactly one [1..1] effectiveTime (CONF:14837).
- This effectiveTimeSHALL contain exactly one [1..1] low (CONF:14838).
- This serviceEventSHOULD contain zero or more [0..*] performer (CONF:14839).
- The performer, if present, SHALL contain exactly one [1..1] @typeCode (CodeSystem: HL7ParticipationType 2.16.840.1.113883.5.90 STATIC) (CONF:14840).
- The performer participant typeCode represents cliniciansindicates the type of participant(s) who actually and principally carry out the serviceEvent. In a transfer of care this represents the healthcare providers involved in the current or pertinent historical care of the patient. Preferably, the patient’s key healthcare care team members would be listed, particularly their primary physician and any active consulting physicians, therapists, and counselors. When the performer of the service is not acting in a clinical role, the typeCode ‘IND’ is used to indicate the role of an “individual”. (CONF:16753).
- The performer, if present, MAY contain zero or one [0..1] functionCode (CONF:16818).
- The functionCode, if present, SHOULD contain zero or one [0..1] @codeSystem, which SHOULD be selected from CodeSystemparticipationFunction (2.16.840.1.113883.5.88) STATIC (CONF:16819).
- The performer, if present, SHALL contain exactly one [1..1] assignedEntity (CONF:14841).
- This assignedEntitySHALL contain at least one [1..*] id (CONF:14846).
- When identifying a clinician or healthcare organization, Ssuch ids SHOULD contain zero or one [0..1] @root="2.16.840.1.113883.4.6" National Provider Identifier (CONF:14847).
b.When identifying an individual, such ids SHOULD contain zero or one [0..1] @root where the combined root and extension attributes record the individual’s identity in a secure, trusted, and unique way.
