BIRTHDAY PARTY PROJECT

You will be having a Sweet 16 Birthday Party. You have to plan the party so it will be what you want, so you have a lot of work to do. You will have to complete every phase of the party and use all of the applications in Microsoft Office to complete this big undertaking. The tasks are as follows:

·  Use Microsoft Word to plan out the party. What will happen from beginning to end and how you are going to accomplish it. Also tell a theme that you will have. Also, tell me where it is, what date, time, catering if any, clean up, and any other relevant information I may need to know in order to know how you are going to give this party. 5/5-5/6

·  Use Microsoft Excel to create a grocery list and party supplies (decorations, a band, etc.) and compile prices and a budget for the party. List the food/supplies and prices for the food/supplies (You will have 50 people in all) Your budget is $1,000. Also create a chart on your spending for the food/supplies embedded in the spreadsheet. 5/7-5/12

·  Use Publisher to create an invitation to the event.5/13

·  Use CorelDraw to create a Flyer to advertise the event 5/14

·  Use Access to create a guest list and run a report to address the invitations. 5/17 5/18,

·  Use PowerPoint to create a slide show on yourself (Pictures from when you were little to big) You will need pictures and cute sayings for the slide show. You will also have to set timings and add music. This will part of the entertainment at the party. 5/19-5/21

·  Use Microsoft Word to write a summary of what you did in this project and what you learned from it. This summary should be a one page, double spaced, 12 pt. font size, Times New Roman report. Also, create a cover page for your project.5/24

Your project should be placed in order with the following checked off on a check off sheet:

1.  Cover page with your name, class, date, and project name (decorated nicely)

2.  Your plan you made in Microsoft Word

3.  Your Excel Sheet and chart showing expenses

4.  Your Invitation

5.  Your flyer

6.  Your Access Report showing all 50 guests and all of their information from the table

7.  A printout, six slides per page (gray scale) of the PowerPoint you will show at the party

8.  Your Summary

Project is due on May 26th. It will not be accepted after the due date. Do not turn in early unless you have all of the work completed and your check sheet completed.
